Diet Demand Reveals How Intimately Weight is Connected to Overall Health

Quite often we think of weight loss as being beneficial to aesthetics, making its overall health benefits seem secondary. Yet, being overweight or obese can take a toll on your health, leading to the development of many common health conditions. Aside from how we look or feel, it’s important that all of us know where our healthy BMI range is and utilize lifestyle changes to remain in that healthy range. While genetics may account for some propensity toward certain conditions, the most critical factor in this day and age is weight. Being overweight can increase your risks for -
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Some cancers
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Sleep apnea
  • Fatty liver disease
  • Type-2 diabetes
  • Gallbladder disease
  • Kidney disease
  • Reproductive health issues
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Poor circulation
The good news is most medical experts agree that simply losing 5-10 percent of your overall BMI can bring about significant health benefits, even reversing prediabetes and lowering risks for cardiovascular disease. However, achieving and maintaining a drop (even a small one) in weight isn’t always easy. Most of us end up utilizing diet plans that:
  • May not be the most effective solution for our unique health circumstances
  • Aren’t sustainable in the long-term, leading to temporary short-term results
  • Do not address underlying health issues and habits that sabotage our efforts
  • Do not give us a proper food and health foundation in order to maintain progress
Consider Medical Weight Loss?

How To Do A Liver Gallbladder Cleanse Naturally

Your liver is an organ with a very specific job and when it is under-performing, it affects every aspect of your life.
Chronic fatigue, migraines, acid reflux and more could all be symptoms your liver isn’t doing its job.
Your Gallbladder is a small pouch that sits just under your liver. It essentially stores bile which assists with the digestive process.
It breaks up fats but when overloaded with cholesterol and bile salts can cause gallbladder stones to form.
These stones clog up the body’s cleansing organs, creating a toxic environment incapable of maintaining good health. You become fatigued, your tissues inflame, you gain weight, and your immune system stops fighting off illness and disease.
These stones are bile that hardens and crystallizes and can cause a world of pain when they reach a certain size. Regular cleansing keeps your organs functioning at peak performance.

6 Steps To Cleanse Your Liver

Before we share the Gallbladder Flush with you, here’s 6 all-natural ways that you can clean up your liver. Dr. Axe suggests the following:
  • Removing toxic foods such as processed foods and trans fats from your diet. These can wreak havoc on your liver by working against it.
  • Drink raw vegetable juice to effectively cleanse your liver. Dr. Axe says that it is nearly impossible to eat enough vegetables to clean out your liver, you would be eating every minute of the day! So drink them instead by mixing your own concoctions of cabbage, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, and more juicy veggies.
  • Eat your potassium! You need 4,700 milligrams per day for proper liver function, so be sure to get yours through good, healthy sources. Sweet potatoes, tomato sauces, spinach, beans bananas, and even molasses contain good amounts.
  • Coffee enemas can be used to cleanse the liver as well. They have been known to be a highly effective tool in the relief of fatigue and constipation.
  • Use these supplements: Milk thistle, dandelion, and turmeric.
  • Eat real liver from grass-fed cattle or chicken. You can also take liver tablets to support healthy liver function.

Liver Gallbladder Flush Ingredients

Here is everything you’ll need to do your cleanse:
  • 4 tablespoons of Epsom salts
  • 3 cups of water
  • Jar with tight-sealing lid
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Vitamin C powder to taste (optional)
  • 1 grapefruit

Liver Gallbladder Flush Instructions

  1. First, you’ll want to be sure you don’t make any plans for the night of and day after the cleanse. You might be into the bathroom quite a bit!
  2. You’ll need to prepare about 4-5 days ahead of your cleanse. During these days, be sure to drink plenty of apple juice to soften the gallstones in your bladder. You could also alternatively take a malic acid supplement for these few days.
  3. Now you’re ready to begin! Start your day off with a very light breakfast with NO fat. As long as it’s food containing no fat, it’s fine.
  4. This helps to put pressure on your liver and eliminate more gallstones during your flush.
  5. At 2 pm, you must stop eating and drinking. At this time, also be sure to prep your drink mix.
  6. Pour the Epsom salts and water into your jar and close it tight. Put it in the fridge for later on.
  7. At 6 pm, you’ll drink a 3/4 cup of this mixture. It WILL taste bad, but if you can’t stand it you could mix it with some Vitamin C powder.
  8. At 8 pm, drink another 3/4 cup of the mixture. Now is the time to do anything that needs to be done before you end your day at 9:45.
  9. At 9:45 pm, pour 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil into a jar. Squeeze the juices of an entire grapefruit into the jar as well. Put the lid on and give the mixture a good shake until it’s all mixed together. Be sure to go to the bathroom and get your teeth brushed right now if you need to.
  10. At 10 pm, drink this entire mixture within five minutes.
  11. After you’ve drunk it, you’ll need to lay down immediately. Do NOT get up or go to the bathroom at this time. Lay down on your back and stay that way for at least 20 minutes. You may feel your liver moving gallstones, this is normal.
  12. When you wake up in the morning drink another 3/4 cup of your Epsom salt mixture. You can go back to bed, and if you need to go to the bathroom, do so.
  13. Two hours after this, drink the rest of the Epsom salts mix.
  14. After 2 more hours, you can eat anything you’d like except for solid fruits. Start out slowly with liquids and progress to solids during the course of the day.
Remember, you’ll be going to the bathroom quite a bit, so be sure to have a relaxed day ahead. You should notice some small gallstones in your toilet. Some will float to the top of the water, while others will sink. These stones sink because they were calcified.
Wait at least 2 weeks before trying another cleanse. It is also important that you seek Medical Advice prior to trying a cleanse of any sort. Your Doctor can advise you if this is beneficial for you.

Why turmeric( haldi) water is the perfect weight loss drink you need

How turmeric water can help you burn belly fat
In the era of fad diets and detox supplements, we often forget that our pantry is packed with spices and herbs which have several medicinal benefits. Native to India and Southeast Asia, haldi is one such essential spice of the Indian cuisine which is well known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties

Turmeric, which has long been a part of traditional medicinal practices, is one of the most common spices found in Indian households. Also known as the golden spice, this miraculous ingredient is loaded with health benefits and gives a distinct yellow colour to many Indian dishes.

How to have turmeric for weight loss
While the good old haldi is rapidly gaining popularity in the West in the form of turmeric lattes and teas, this wonder spice still hasn’t got the recognition it deserves in India. In addition to being a very potent antioxidant, it can also help to get rid of the dreaded stomach flab. Including turmeric in your daily diet may also reduce symptoms of bloating and gas

Health benefits of turmeric
Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric which has several healing properties and is known to boost immunity. Starting your day with a glass of turmeric water helps in preparing your digestive system for the day.
When consumed first thing in the morning, Haldi helps in flushing out toxins from the body and kick starts your metabolism. It also improves digestion by influencing the gallbladder to produce bile and other digestive enzymes that are necessary for proper digestion.

How to make turmeric water for weight loss
You may buy organic turmeric powder or powder whole dry turmeric at home. Alternately, you can also grate fresh turmeric root.
Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric and a glass of water
How to make it:
Boil one glass of water
Add turmeric powder
Let it simmer
Strain the concoction
You may also add some honey for taste
Drink this weight loss tonic at least once a day for maximum benefit

For added benefits, ensure that you drink haldi-water on an empty stomach. You can also choose to drink turmeric tea before exercising to increase your metabolism

A word of caution
While anyone can consume turmeric water to burn the belly fat and lose weight, it is strongly advisable to have a word with your medical practitioner regarding the same.

Turmeric Should Be Avoided When Taking Certain Medications or Having Certain Health Conditions

Turmeric root is one of nature’s healing plants and has been used for its taste and health potential for thousands of years. However, turmeric powers should be wielded with caution, as it isn’t appropriate for all people. Are you one of the people who should avoid or restrict the consumption of turmeric? Read on to find out.

Turmeric Has Powerful Healing Properties

Turmeric’s health-promoting qualities have been touted for generations by a wide-reaching group of people, from the ancient peoples of India and Asia to modern health gurus.

Many people can experience improvements in health by using ground turmeric in food or as a dietary supplement, but it’s not the right choice for everyone. Let’s discuss some situations where turmeric should be avoided or used sparingly.

When You Should Avoid Turmeric (Or Reduce Its Consumption)

People on medication for diabetes

Turmeric has a natural tendency to lower blood sugar and as such it is one of the top 8 spices and herbs for type 2 diabetes. For people with diabetes and pre-diabetic people who control their condition solely through diet this may be welcome news.
However, people taking medication for their diabetes need to be aware of turmeric’s effect on blood sugar and discuss turmeric usage with their prescribing physicians before continued use as when combined with medications for diabetes, turmeric might make blood sugar too low and cause hypoglycemia.

Pregnant women and turmeric consumption

During pregnancy and breast-feeding turmeric is considered safe when taken in amounts usually found in food. However, turmeric is probably unsafe when taken in large amounts or in a supplement form during pregnancy, as it may stimulate menstruation or stimulate the uterus, thus risking the pregnancy.
Also there is not enough information regarding the safety of large amounts of turmeric during breast-feeding, so it’s best to use it in normal food quantities and not as a supplement.

People with gallbladder problems or tendency for kidney stones

The gallbladder is a small sac-like structure which lies beneath your liver and connected to it by the bile duct. The gallbladder serves as a storage facility for bile which breaks down fat in the intestines.
According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), turmeric can cause side effects and increase the risk of gallbladder problems, so if you have gallstones or obstruction of the bile passages, you should talk to your doctor before taking turmeric.

Also if you are prone to kidney stones you’re better off not taking turmeric supplements. The reason for that is that turmeric contains significant amounts of the chemical oxalate, which increases the risk of gallstones.

A study published in May 2008 showed that turmeric significantly increased the levels of oxalate in the urine as compared to placebo after four weeks of treatment in healthy individuals.5 The conclusion was that high levels of oxalate in the urine increases the risk of kidney stone formation in susceptible people.

People who take blood clotting medications

Turmeric can thin the blood, meaning it can be inappropriate for people who have bleeding disorders as it can increase their risk of bruising and bleeding.

According to doctors, turmeric can also interact with medications that slow blood clotting such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

Talk about your desire to take turmeric with your doctor before using it if you are on medications for blood clotting or have bleeding disorders in order to determine if turmeric is the right choice for you.
It is recommended to stop using turmeric at least 2 weeks before a surgery to avoid extra bleeding during and after surgery.

People who suffer from stomach acid

Our stomach is full of acid that is naturally produced in the body and helps break down food.
However excess stomach acid can cause symptoms like pain and other health problems such as heartburn (reflux) which occurs when stomach acid leaks into the esophagus. Frequent heartburn suggests gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which can damage the esophagus and throat. Reducing excess stomach acid is the best way to manage these problems.

Turmeric may increase stomach acid production, which may decrease the effectiveness of drugs used to reduce stomach acid. Avoid taking turmeric if it worsens symptoms of stomach acid.

How Much Turmeric to Consume

According to doctors, for people who do not have medical or health conditions on the cautionary list discussed above, taking up to 3 grams of powdered turmeric root (which is about one teaspoon) per day is safe, while the dosage of cut root is 1.5 to 3 g per day for an average-sized adult.

What’s good about turmeric is that you can use it both in fresh or ground form. The ground form is much more concentrated, and usually when converting fresh to ground turmeric, a single tablespoon of fresh turmeric root is equal to 1/3 of a teaspoon of dried turmeric.

Ideas for Turmeric Consumption

While turmeric is a powerful and effective compound for treating a wide range of diseases, studies have revealed that turmeric has low absorption and rapid metabolism that lead to relatively low bioavailability in the body.

Fat Loss - 7 Food Items To Help You Out!

Excessive fat in the body can cause a lot of health complications such as diabetes, blood pressure, gout and disorders related to the gallbladder. However, there are certain food types that can help you achieve a healthy body with optimal fat levels.
Some food items that aid fat loss are:
  1. Greek yoghurt: This type of yoghurt contains higher amounts of protein and fewer carbohydrates as compared to regular yoghurt. It will help you feel full for a longer duration and prevent over snacking.
  2. Green tea: Apart from its antioxidant properties which are beneficial to the body, it also raises the metabolic rate in the body to burn calories. Catechin is a compound present in green tea that aids in removing belly fat.
  3. Chili peppers: They have a compound containing capsaicin that helps in boosting metabolism which in turn burns fat.
  4. Chicken: Chicken mostly consists of lean protein that requires more calories to digest as compared to digesting fats and carbohydrates. Lean protein also helps in building muscle in the body which burns more calories when the body is at rest.
  5. Cinnamon: Cinnamon aids the body in transporting the sugar into the cells so that it can be used as energy and not stored as fat.
  6. Eggs: Eggs are considered to be a type of superfood as they contain plenty of minerals and vitamins. Eggs also contain protein that helps in feeling full for a longer duration.
  7. Non-starchy vegetables: Non-starchy vegetables such as carrots, squash and zucchini contain fibers that help you feel fuller. They also contain very less carbohydrates so they do
not add much calorific value to the body.

What Is The Real Cause Of Pain

When something starts to ache in our body, we can only guess what has happened. However, depending on where the ache or pain is, it may be associated with an organ. This information is meant to serve as an introduction, not as a strict guide.

1. The Heart
Normally, when something is wrong with the heart a person would feel a compressing pain in the chest that can spread to the left arm, shoulder blade and part of the neck.
2. The Kidneys
What may seem like a simple backache could actually indicate a problem with the kidneys. Kidney pain tends to be deep under the ribs, while muscle pain is usually lower. The pain may also travel to the legs.
3. The Small Intestine
A pain in the navel region may indicate problems with the small intestine. If the pain persists and causes discomfort when bending or walking, be sure to visit your doctor.

4. The Large Intestine
Pain in the lower abdomen, closer to the right side could indicate a pain in your large intestine. Regular constipation is also an indication.
5. The Lungs
While the lungs themselves don't feel pain due to a lack of nerve endings, if something is wrong with them, you may feel a dull ache in your chest. A cough and difficulty breathing also indicate lung problems.
6. The Appendix
Located in the lower right region of the abdomen, appendix pain may affect the whole stomach area or its separate parts. The pain may also travel into the right thigh. Other signs also include nausea, vomiting, fever, constipation or diarrhea.
7. The Stomach
Gastric problems usually cause pain in the middle of the abdomen, above the ribs. It can also appear on the same level in the back.
8. The Gallbladder and the Liver
Gallbladder and liver problems may cause pain in the upper right region of the abdomen, which can also travel to the same place in the back. Other symptoms for issues associated with the liver include a sour taste in the mouth and jaundice.
