CBD Oil: 7 Proven Health Benefits and Uses

There are countless herbal remedies and natural oils capable of doing one job very well, be it boosting your heart health, soothing your skin, or relieving stress and anxiety. Very few of these natural remedies have the ability to address all of the above-mentioned concerns, but we found one that can — CBD oil. In fact, there is evidence of this oil also being beneficial for those who suffer from chronic pain, those who seek to protect their nervous system, and many other uses, one of the most notable and relevant of which, especially in light of the Coronavirus pandemic, is an immune system boost. Here we focus on the 7 scientifically-backed benefits of this natural oil, as well as the best ways to use CBD oil.

What Is CBD Oil?
The demand for CBD oil is growing at a quick pace, and people worldwide are becoming increasingly aware and interested. Still, most of us don’t really know what CBD is or isn’t, and we are here to clarify things for you. CBD is an acronym for Cannabidiol, which is one of 113 Phytocannabinoid compounds in hemp.

In stark contrast with THC, CBD is non-psychoactive and has many wholesome uses, among which are pain relief, immune aid, and heart health support, just to name a few. It is only these beneficial uses that CBD products are there to provide, without the psychoactive effects of Cannabis. In fact, quality CBD products are made from industrial Hemp plants also grown to make fabric and other commercial products. By US law, these plants cannot contain over 0.3% of THC - a trivial amount.

CBD products come in a variety of forms, with CBD oil being by far the most popular one. These oils contain a CBD extract in an oil base, which helps the CBD get absorbed into the body. CBD oils can be used in a variety of ways. Most people put a few drops of the oil underneath their tongue, which allows the oil to be absorbed directly into the blood through the fine capillaries. However, you can also apply the oil topically to ease joint pain and dry and acne-prone skin or even add it to your food and drinks.

The recommended dosage will depend on your weight and personal preference. Most resources suggest starting with a small dose, 20-40 mg a day for the first 7 days and then building up to a dosage you feel comfortable with, in 5 mg increments every week. Please note it's not recommended to use CBD oil more frequently than every 4-6 hours.

What would you use CBD oil for? This natural remedy has a wide variety of benefits for your wellbeing, both physical and mental. Below we discuss 7 science-backed benefits of CBD:

1. CBD May Boost the Immune System and help against Coronavirus
In order to understand how CBD can influence our immune system, we'll need to get a bit scientific. The Endocannabinoid system refers to a network of Cannabinoid receptors scattered throughout the central and peripheral nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves) that participates in the regulation of a wide range of bodily functions, such as mood, cognitive processes, memory, appetite, pain sensation, as well as the immune system. More specifically, Endocannabinoids, or the neurotransmitters our body produces, were found to decrease the level of inflammation in the body, and some scientists now believe that Phytocannabinoids, such as CBD, which bind to the same receptor, can thus have a similar effect.

Apart from that, CBD is widely used to decrease the impact of chronic day-to-day stress, which is known to affect our immune health. This way, CBD oil can have a twofold beneficial effect on our immunity, which is especially important right now when dangerous infectious diseases, such as the Coronavirus, are running rampant across the globe and we could use all the help we can get to protect ourselves.

2. Pain Relief
Many people don't realize that Cannabis has been used to relieve pain for centuries, with the first recordings of the plant being used to relieve joint pain and muscle cramps in Chinese medicine dating back to 2,900 BC! As it often happens, modern science is also currently catching up to the pain soothing effects of Cannabis, and they have managed to isolate the component that is responsible for those effects, and that component is primarily CBD.

CBD can interfere with the Endocannabinoid pain receptors, dulling down the perception of pain and lowering the level of inflammation in the body. This makes CBD oil ideal for those who suffer from chronic inflammation and pain, as it may relieve the sensation of pain in these people. Conditions shown to improve after the administration of CBD include sciatica and chronic pain, but CBD may also be beneficial for other types of pain.

3. May Aid in Calming Anxiety and DepressionThe Endocannabinoid system is suggested to play a key role in mood regulation and may be capable of desensitizing the brain to stress. This is especially crucial to those who experience anxiety or depression since they will be able to use CBD products to ease their symptoms. Studies researching the anxiety levels in public speakers and even children suffering from PTSD combined demonstrate that CBD can be effective at relieving both anxiety and stress-related insomnia.

Animal models support the theoretical implications and suggest that the administration of CBD products has antidepressant effects.

4. AcneAcne can be caused by a variety of different factors ranging from genetics to hormonal imbalances and even weather changes. However, one of the primary causes of acne is inflammation of the skin, and so it makes perfect sense that the anti-inflammatory qualities of CBD should make it beneficial for reducing redness and inflammation in the skin. Test tube studies suggest that CBD could reduce the production of oils in the skin and decrease the number of inflammatory compounds in these oils.
In addition, many CBD oils these days are formulated with skin in mind and are contained in a base of oils beneficial for different skin types.

5. May Protect Your Nervous System
The beneficial effects of CBD for the nervous system are probably the most researched among all the others. In fact, a mouth spray that contains CBD and THC called Sativex is an approved drug that helps multiple sclerosis patients that suffer from muscle spasms in many countries. Patients with other neurological disorders, such as epilepsy and Parkinson's disease were also shown to benefit from CBD in controlled conditions.

Current research revolves around the ability of CBD to prevent nerve death in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, and this, too, seems promising, but as of now, only animal model studies exist.

6. Heart and Blood Pressure
Hypertension and heart disease are both extremely dangerous, as they are obviously increasing one's risk of a heart attack or stroke. CBD products, which are capable of de-stressing the mind, may also lower one's blood pressure according to a 2017 study where a single dose of CBD was capable of decreasing participants' blood pressure. CBD also has powerful antioxidant properties, which may also contribute to the observed beneficial effects on the heart.

7. May Alleviate Some Symptoms of Cancer

Cancer patients are forced to deal with a lot of side effects of both the devastating disease itself and those of the cancer treatments. Common complaints are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and pain, and traditional pain medication doesn't always help. Fortunately, CBD may be able to decrease the sensation of pain in cancer patients that don't experience any improvement after taking pain medication, as reported by a study that researched both the effect or THC and CBD on pain. CBD was more effective than THC and well above placebo in that study.

Furthermore, nausea and vomiting - both common side effects of chemotherapy - can be decreased with the use of CBD according to medical research. Thus, both cancer patients suffering from resistant pain and chemotherapy side effects may find relief in CBD products.

CBD Oil Recommendation

The CBD industry is ever-expanding these days, with countless products being available for purchase both in stores and online. When it comes to CBD products, however, quality and careful sourcing of all ingredients matter the most, and the beneficial effects of Cannabidiol may be negated by improper handling and production standards. This is why you should always opt for the best quality CBD oil you can get.

A CBD oil we can certainly vouch for and highly recommend is The KAYAVAX CBD Oil - a US-based family business. This product comes in a variety of CBD concentrations (500mg - 3000mg), which makes it an excellent choice for both those who want to ease their way into CBD products and those who are looking for the highest and most potent concentration of CBD. KAYAVAX carefully source each ingredient in their CBD Oil, as well as other products, and they abide by the highest quality standards on the market, so you can rest assured that it's a safe and all-around superior CBD oil.

11 Cancer Symptoms You Are Likely To Ignore

I'm a thyroid cancer survivor. I can surely say that being positive helps a lot in overcoming the cancer. It is curable. Don't think of stages, soon after my diagnosis, I used to chat with people across the globe, who said that though they're given few months to live, have survived for more than a decade. That is because of their positive attitude. Learn from people how they've overcome, in case, any survivor wishes to chat with me, or free to do so. I can assure you, that your attitude, belief in God and self, will surely overcome any disease. Right now, I'm busy studying, teaching, doing breast prosthetic with crochet !

Cancer is one of the most deadliest and scariest diseases. Diagnosis is always a huge shock.
Yet, many cancers are highly curable when caught early. That’s why it’s very important to be on constant alert for cancer symptoms.

Here are the 11 cancer symptoms you should NOT ignore.
Pay special attention to the last one, since it can easily be misinterpreted.

1. Persistent fatigue

Persistent fatigue can be an important symptom of leukemia and colon or stomach cancers. It may manifest itself differently from everyday fatigue.
Cancer-related fatigue often doesn’t go away after a good sleep and lasts longer. Sometimes it is caused by blood loss that’s not obvious.

2. Unexplained weight loss

Most people with cancer are likely to lose weight at some point. If you don’t recall any specific reason, like exercising more, or changing diet, a rapid unexplained weight loss can be a dangerous sign.
An unexpected weight loss of 10 pounds or more may be one of the first signs of cancer and can be used to catch it early.

3. Unexplained thickening or lump

Examine your body regularly. A lump, or thickening may be an early or late sign of cancer and should immediately be reported to a doctor.
Pay extra attention to new lumps or thickening or those that are changing in size. Don’t stress over it too early though. Many of those changes in your body can be completely benign.

4. Constant pain

Although pain can be a symptom of a huge variety of diseases, it can also indicate cancer. If the pain is unexplained and doesn’t go away or get better with treatment, it’s a warning sign.
Depending on where the pain is localized, it can be a symptom of a brain tumor, cancer of colon, rectum or ovary.

5. Frequent fever

Almost all people with cancer are likely to have fever at some stage, especially if cancer affects the immune system.
Although fever is more common at late stages, it can also be an early sign of blood cancers, such as leukemia or lymphoma. In any case, if you often experience fever, especially you cannot understand a reason, best to seek medical attention

6. Skin changes

Skin cancer is considered to be the most common type of cancer and sometimes it can be difficult to recognize it in the early stages.
Anytime you have a freckle, wart, or mole that changes color, size, or shape, or if it loses its sharp border, then you should have it checked out for melanoma or some of the other types of skin cancer. However, besides skin cancers, other cancers can also cause skin changes. Pay attention to signs and symptoms which include: darker, yellowish or reddened skin, itching, bleeding, etc.

7. Change in bowel or bladder habits

If you experience long-term constipation, diarrhea or a change in the size of the stool, it may be a good idea to visit a doctor.
These are signs of colon cancer. Symptoms of bladder or prostate cancer include pain when passing urine, blood in the urine or a change in bladder function. Report these types of unusual signs to a doctor, however, keep in mind these could also be a signal of a urinary tract infection.

8. Nagging cough or hoarseness

A cough every once in a while isn’t usually anything to worry about. However, a persistent cough that doesn’t go away is a cause for concern.
Most coughs aren’t cancer, but it should still be evaluated by your doctor. Pay extra attention if cough causes pain in your chest, shoulder or back area.

9. Unusual Bleeding

Unusual bleeding is always something worth investigating, even if it’s not a sign of a cancer. However it can also happen in early or advanced cancer.
Coughing up blood, blood in the stool or urine, abnormal vaginal bleeding are all dangerous signs.

10. Indigestion or trouble swallowing

Indigestion issues that don’t go away could be symptoms of cancer. Potential causes are cancers of esophagus, stomach, or throat.
However, in vast majority of cases, indigestion or swallowing problems indicate something other than cancer.

11. Other Symptoms

These signs and symptoms we just reviewed are the more common ones, appearing in cancer patients. However, there’s a huge variety of other possible symptoms.
Swollen feet, for example, are not necessarily a symptom of cancer, but rather side effects from cancer treatments, but if you are experiencing unexplained swollen feet, best to consult with your doctor.
Overall, if you notice any major changes in how your body looks and feels, especially if the condition doesn’t go away for a long time – talk to your doctor.
Again, spotting cancer early can significantly increase your chances.

15 Cancer Symptoms Women Are Likely to Ignore

Many cancer signs mimic symptoms of other diseases or conditions, so it’s easy to brush them aside. All the doctors we interviewed agreed: Know your body, and if you notice an unusual pain or other change that persists and gets worse, head to the doctor.

Postmenopausal bleeding

It’s not uncommon for women to see some light spotting even after they’ve gone through menopause. But if you suddenly start period-like bleeding again, and it’s consistent, it could be an early warning sign of uterine cancer, says an oncologist. The good news: Women diagnosed at stage 1, when the cancer hasn’t spread, have a five-year survival rate of 88 percent, according to the Dr.

Sores or pain in the mouth

A cold sore that heals is probably nothing to worry about, nor is a toothache that goes away after a trip to the dentist. But if you notice sores that don’t heal, pain that sticks around, white or red patches on the gums or tongue, and any swelling or numbness of the jaw it could be a sign of some mouth cancers. If they persist for longer than two weeks, the  doctor suggests seeing a doctor.

Bloating

Nearly every woman complains of bloating, especially during that time of the month; but if you notice you’re still bloated after your cycle finishes or you feel consistently constipated, it could be a symptom of ovarian cancer or uterine cancer. “If it’s been a few weeks and isn’t getting better, that’s a change, that’s not you,” says a Dr.  “Ask a doctor to take a closer look.” Many ovarian cancer patients report having experienced vague symptoms, like bloating, that they ignored for months before seeking help, says a gastroenterologist. A feeling of fullness despite a lighter appetite is another common sign of ovarian cancer.

9 signs that spell cancer!

They are common symptoms and can be passed off as your body getting to grips with every day tiredness.

But experts warn that if you notice any other major changes in the way your body functions or feels, you should see a doctor, especially if the changes persist or get worse.

It may not be cancer, but any major change in your body is cause for concern.

UNEXPLAINED WEIGHT LOSS
If you are losing weight because you are dieting or exercising, that's fine. But if you find yourself losing weight with no change in your lifestyle habits, this is an unexplained weight loss and it can be associated with several cancers including those of the pancreas and stomach. .

FEVER
A persistent fever may be an early sign of blood cancers like lymphoma or leukaemia. If you experience persistent fever, you should see a doctor. Even if it's not cancer, it must be treated seriously. PAIN Although pain can have many causes, persistent headaches can be an early sign of brain cancer and back pain can be a sign of rectal or ovarian cancer. If you start experiencing persistent pain, talk to your GP.

A NAGGING COUGH
If you notice a cough or hoarseness that just won't go away, it could be a sign of lung or larynx cancer. It is more likely that you are experiencing seasonal allergies, but run tests to be sure.

LUMPS IN THE BODY
If you find lumps in your skin, go see a dermat. Be especially wary of lumps in the breast, testicles, or near lymph nodes. Don't freak out if you find lumps on your arms, legs, or other parts of the body though. They might just be harmless sebaceous cysts.

UNUSUAL BLEEDING
Abnormal bleeding is one of many signs of cancer. Coughing up blood can mean lung cancer, blood in the stool can mean colon or rectal cancer, blood in urine can mean bladder cancer, persistent vaginal bleeding could point to cervical cancer, and blood discharge from the nipple can mean breast cancer.

CHANGES IN BLADDER FUNCTION
If you experience pain when urinating, blood in your urine, or other changes, such as needing to go more or less often, these could be symptoms of bladder or prostate cancer. Besides, if you observe a long-term change in your bowel function, like persistent diarrhea or constipation, it may be a symptom of colon cancer. Catching it early with a colonoscopy could save your life.

SORES THAT NEVER HEAL
If you have a persistent sore or sores that don't seem to heal, you should get them checked out by a doctor right away. Sores inside the mouth can be signs of an oral cancer.

CHANGES ON YOUR SKIN
If you notice any changes on a wart or mole on your body, or any other changes on your skin, this could be a sign of melanoma, also known as skin cancer. See a dermatologist right away. It can be treated easily if it's detected early.

FATIGUE
Constant fatigue that does not get better with rest can be a sign of cancer. This is a tricky one because a lot of people feel fatigue for completely different reasons. But if you start feeling tired all the time you should get yourself checked.
