Improve Your Concentration with These 8 Pressure Points

We need good concentration and memory at every age and every stage of life. Regardless of whether we’re studying for an important exam or trying to remember how to get from one place to another, these abilities determine whether or not we’ll succeed in our mission. One of our strongest enemies in this struggle is stress, which negatively affects our concentration and memory.

However, you can turn this calm into a regular part of your life while focusing and refining your concentration and memory skills with 8 pressure points that will improve your mental abilities using only your hands.

1.The Third Eye
In Chinese culture, the third eye is believed to be a "mystical organ" responsible for clairvoyance. According to the Chinese, the third eye point helps improve concentration and, memory, a nd also helps to treat symptoms of influenza, such as fever, blocked nose, and nasal congestion headaches.

8. Under side of the toe
This point comes not from Chinese medicine, but from reflexology, and you don’t even have to use your fingers to massage it and get the benefits it provides. The left toe will affect the right side of the brain and the right toe will affect the left side, but it is recommended to massage both at the same time to obtain clarity of mind.

Move your thumb on the underside side of the big toe and massage all of it for 1-2 minutes. Repeat the process every day, and if you want to improve your concentration while working or learning, just rub your toe into your shoe and use the floor to resist it.

If you really want to improve your memory and concentration, you may want to massage these points every day for several weeks regularly. You can feel their effect significantly after four weeks, and you’ll see how easy it is to help our body and mind be at their best.

The Pressure Point That’ll Make You Sleep Well Every Night

Many studies have shown the effectiveness of Chinese treatment methods in various medical situations, especially pressure points. Chinese medicine is so effective that some doctors may suggest treatments that include acupuncture or shiatsu. But can the results of those treatments be achieved without the need for skilled hands or sharp needles? The answer is yes, especially when it comes to simple treatments like the one below. Keep reading to learn about the San Yin Jiao pressure point.

pressure point - spleen 6
San Yin Jiao is a well-known and very useful pressure point in Chinese medicine. Many therapists use it to relieve various problems with surprising efficiency, especially sleep problems. It is also called "spleen 6," as it helps to regulate the activity of the spleen, an organ belonging to the lymphatic system and used as a "factory" where production processes and interaction of white blood cells occur. This interaction helps to improve immune responses acquired in the body (antibody production) and to improve innate immune responses (bacterial breakdown).

Massaging this point every evening will help you:
• Reduce feelings of bloating in the stomach
• Facilitate digestive processes
• Suppress menstrual cramps
• Increase fertility
• Cure insomnia
• Relieve stress and anxiety

The point is located on the inside of the leg just above the ankle. To find it, just use your fingers to measure four finger widths up your leg from the highest point of your ankle. It is recommended that women not to use this method if they are pregnant or suffer from a heavy menstrual flow.

Massage the point, moving your thumb in circular movements for 6 seconds, and then stop for 2 seconds. Do this for 5 minutes on each leg. It is recommended that you perform this pressure point massage before bedtime, as it helps the body fall asleep quickly. Do this daily and after two weeks you’ll feel a significant difference, and you'll fall asleep easier and sleep a lot deeper.

Apply Pressure to These Points to Alleviate Headaches

Do you want to relieve your headache in a matter of minutes? Try the ancient technique of foot massage, and feel the pain drain away.

Reflexology is a simple technique performed on the feet. It is based on the belief that all major organs and nerves are connected to our feet, and by pressing in the right way on the right place, various places in our body can be cured of pain.

First, massaging the solar plexus (refer to the blue circle in the diagram below) is designed to relax the foot and the overall tension. This action is performed by pressing the thumb or the point of a fisted hand to the center of the foot (the solar plexus area). Gently rub for several minutes. You can also rotate the foot gently to relax the tension in the Achilles tendon.

How do you press with the thumb?
Simply press on the point and keep the thumb on it. You should use gentle pressure at first. If your thumb is a bit weak, you can use the end of a pen (not the writing tip of course) or one of the specialized reflexology tools (see below).

Advanced techniques require moving the thumb in a small half circle, 'walking' the thumb along different points like little steps, or just rubbing up and down, again using the thumb.

How will you be sure you found the right spot?
Usually, the point of pressure will be soft, and you will feel a slight sensation of being pricked. The right spot may turn a bit red, white or a little bloated, and sometimes will go numb. The right pressure is up to the point where you feel uncomfortable, but not unbearably so, and not enough to cause any damage to the skin if you are using a pen/tool.

pressure points for headaches
Headache caused by tension and stress: The best thing to do at first is to take a hot bath and breath deeply. Afterward, you will need to put pressure on the inner area of the big toe, the fleshy part in the middle of it. Lastly, you'll need to put pressure on the root of the big toe.

Sinuses: The fleshy part of all the toes and the outer edges of the big toe.

Headache caused by stressing the eyes: Press and rub the root of the second and third toes.

Headache caused by tension in the neck and shoulders: Press the tip of the foot under the small toe, and the other end underneath the big toe.

Tip: Be well hydrated to quicken the healing process and help the body get rid of accumulated toxins released by the massage. The electrolytes in the water will also help the sending of nerve conduction in the body at the same time.
