Make These Natural Face Masks

Wrinkles are inevitable signs of aging that make us reluctant to go through each birthday that comes around. Many of us think of them as incessant reminders of growing old. Although there's no denying this, there are things we can do to lessen their appearance as much as possible. Lately, I have discovered an even better way of doing this other than using expensive store-bought products - and it's by using natural remedies.

The following home remedies can help you reduce wrinkles and fine lines on your face, neck, hands, or any other areas of skin that have lost their elasticity and moisture. Please note that although they are effective in terms of external results, they should be coupled with a healthy lifestyle that'll help your skin improve from within.

This includes sustaining yourself with good hydration, sufficient sleep, and wrinkle-fighting foods (such as nuts, eggs, liver, oily fish, teas, and certain fruits and vegetables). One should also avoid wrinkle-causing factors such as smoking, harmful sunrays, skin-damaging cosmetics, and experiencing excess stress.

Here are 9 natural packs and masks for wrinkled skin:
facemasks
1. Avocado Mask
Avocado is packed with anti-aging elements, including vitamin E and monounsaturated fat, and can work wonders in the prevention and reduction of wrinkles. Here's how to use it to make an excellent moisturizing mask for your skin:

What you will need:
Half an avocado
2 tablespoons fresh cream
 2 teaspoons flaxseeds
1 tablespoon honey

Directions:
Transfer the contents of half an avocado to a bowl.
Grind the flaxseeds to obtain a powder consistency and add it to the bowl.
Add the fresh cream and honey and mix well until the mixture takes on a smooth paste consistency.

Application:
Apply the paste to the face or other areas of skin.
Leave for one hour.
Rinse with lukewarm water.

2. Homemade Ayurvedic Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer
This cream recipe is considered a superb boost for our skin - whether it has wrinkles or not. Thanks to the varied oils it uses, it's useful for both curing wrinkles and preventing them. Although it may take some more of your effort and time, it gives satisfying results. Try it out:
What you will need:
2 tablespoons Aloe Vera gel (or 2 tablespoons cocoa butter or lanolin - 30ml / 1 oz. approximately)
60 ml (4 tablespoons) rose water
Few drops lavender or rose essential oil (or 6 tablespoons of one of the following oils, according to skin type: 90ml / 3 oz. approximately)
Almond oil - for normal skin Sesame oil - for dry skin Jojoba oil - for oily and acne-prone skin
Rice bran oil or ghee (clarified butter) - for mature skin (ie. thin aging skin with dullness, uneven tone, fine lines and dry complexion)

Directions:
Heat each ingredient separately to make them slightly warm (not hot or boiling).
Mix the ingredients together. You may use a blender.
Continue mixing while pouring in the essential oils of your choice.
Transfer to a container and store.

Application:
Use this cream to moisturize your face after washing it.
You may even use the recipe to make an anti-wrinkle night cream - simply reduce the amount of Aloe Vera gel and add vitamin A and vitamin E oils to it.
Apply it to your face before going to sleep.

3. Papaya-Banana Mask
Papaya contains certain enzymes that can eliminate dead skin cells to make way for new ones. Bananas, on the other hand, can provide our skin with various enriching nutrients that contribute to producing new skin cells. Therefore by teaming up these two ingredients, you can create a perfect mask for your face. Here's how to make it:

What you will need:
Papaya (as per need)
Banana (as per need)

Directions:
Cut the banana and papaya into pieces and mash them.
Combine them well in a bowl and mix.

Application:
Apply the mixture on your skin.
Leave for 20 minutes.
Wash off with lukewarm water

4. Egg White Wonder
facemasks
Because of their nutrient-loaded content and skin-tightening properties, egg whites make a great ingredient for a natural skin remedy for sagging and wrinkling. You may use it as a lone ingredient - just apply it to your face, leave to dry, and then, using wet fingers, massage your face with it before washing off. Another way of benefiting from egg white is by making the following hydrating mask:

What you will need:
Egg white from 1 egg
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon milk
Few drops of avocado/olive/coconut oil

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Application:
Apply to your face.
Leave for 20-30 minutes.
Rinse with lukewarm water.

5. Honey Pack
No list of natural anti-aging remedies is complete without mentioning honey. Honey offers a wealth of benefits for the skin, and it can also be of great help when it comes to getting rid of wrinkles. Although it is effective to use on the skin alone (leaving it for 20-30 minutes and rinsing with warm water), you can also try making the following pack:

What you will need:
4 tablespoons milk powder
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons warm water
A small towel

Directions:
Combine milk powder, honey and warm water in a bowl to make a smooth paste.

Application:
Apply to your face. Try to avoid the eyes and mouth.
Dip the small towel in the mixture, squeeze it, and place it on your face.
Leave for about 10 minutes.
Gently clean off the mask by using the same towel.

 6. Vitamin E mask
Vitamin E is a widely-known essential for our skin. It repairs the damage from reactions of fatty acids with oxygen, and hence, can prevent wrinkles from forming. To make the best of this vitamin other than ingesting it, let your body absorb it by using to the following recipe:

What you will need:
3 vitamin E capsules
2 teaspoons yogurt
Half a teaspoon honey
Half a teaspoon lemon juice

Directions:
Extract the oil from the vitamin E capsules and place it in a bowl.
Add all the other ingredients and mix.

Application:
Apply the mixture on your face.
Leave for about 10-15 minutes.
Wash off with lukewarm water.

7. Coconut oil
facemasks
Coconut oil can be beneficial to our body because of the positive effects it has on our skin. It's a terrific natural moisturizer that you can use to hydrate your face or any other skin area, whether it has wrinkles or not. This oil is so effective that it doesn't even need any additional ingredient.

Here are some suggestions for how and when to use it:
Application of coconut oil (alone):

Night time: Before going to bed, apply coconut oil to your skin and massage it while doing so. Wash with warm water in the morning.

Before bathing: Massage your body with coconut oil before taking a bath or shower.

While bathing:
Apply coconut oil to your body while bathing and rinse with water (without applying soap) before drying up.

8. Olive Oil-Pineapple Mask
Olive oil is another great natural product you can use to nourish your skin. In the following recipe, it is paired with the vitamin C-rich fruit - pineapple, to create the perfect mix to work against the formation of wrinkles. Pineapples also contain bromeliad, which is a natural digestive enzyme that helps remove dead skin cells and dirt, in turn encouraging the formation of new cells. Here's how to make the mask:

What you will need:
1 cup pineapple pieces
4 tablespoons olive oil

Application:
Apply to your face, neck or other wrinkled skin areas.
Leave for 20 minutes.

Guide to the Proper Consumption of Healthy Foods

We all want to incorporate as many healthy foods in our diet as possible, but sometimes we aren’t sure what the right dose is. Although there are foods that are considered healthy due to the many nutritional benefits they provide us, excess consumption and incorrect dosage can also turn a good thing bad. The following list includes 10 products that are known for their health benefits, along with tips that will help you continue to enjoy their benefits and taste wisely.

1. Tomatoes
Lycopene, the red pigment in tomatoes, is an antioxidant with many breakthrough benefits. It helps to reduce the risk of various types of cancer, contributes to the protection of the heart and blood vessels, reduces cholesterol in the body, maintains eye and skin health and more. However, excess consumption of tomatoes stimulates the lining of the esophagus and may cause reflux, which is the rise of acids from the lining of the stomach to the esophagus. In addition, tomatoes contain a toxic alkaloid called solanine, and excess consumption may lead to abdominal pain, nausea, headaches and other symptoms that characterize poisoning.

How to correctly consume the product
People who don’t suffer from reflux or joint or joint problems can eat 3-4 tomatoes a day or drink one and a half cups of tomato juice. At the same time, it is recommended to incorporate cherry tomatoes, which contain less solanine, and therefore may cause fewer side effects.

2. Omega 3 and fish oil
Omega-3 fatty acids have many benefits that help maintain our health. These acids fight inflammation in the body, play an important role in the development of cells, reduce the risks of heart disease and more. Since most diets are low in omega-3, omega-3 dietary supplements, such as fish-derived supplements, are gaining popularity. However, studies have shown that excess omega-3 consumption may be harmful, especially for people who a prone to bleeding or taking blood thinners. In addition, consuming high amounts of fish oil may cause an excess in vitamin A which may have toxic effects especially for children and pregnant women.

How to correctly consume the product
Omega 3 fatty acids are essential for good health, but to avoid  damage it is recommended to consume 1-6 gm of it daily and no more.

3. Nutmeg
Nutmeg is as a spice with a unique taste, often used in cakes, sauces, soups and desserts, and in low doses provides a sweet and delicate taste for meals. Some of its benefits are also used to treat gastrointestinal problems, relieve joint pain, release muscle muscles and stimulate blood flow. However, nutmeg contains a compound called myricetin, which in excess may lead to nausea, dizziness, pain, and arrhythmias.

How to correctly consume the product

Although nutmeg has many advantages, it is not recommended to consume more than 10 grams of nutmeg at a time, as higher doses have been shown to cause symptoms of poisoning.

4. Coffee
Coffee is a delicious and tasty beverage, which in several studies has been associated with many health benefits, including reduced risk of liver disease, type 2 diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and other degenerative diseases. However, an excessive amount of coffee may cause some damage. Canadian researchers have found that excess coffee may lead to changes in the nervous system, insomnia, abdominal pain, palpitations, and muscle tremors.

How to correctly consume the product

Because caffeine has a different effect on different people, some of us can drink a lot of coffee while others may experience symptoms even after small amounts of caffeine. The guiding rule, in this case, is consumption of up to 400 milligrams of coffee per day, i.e. no more than 4 cups.healthy foods

5. Cruciferous vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables are the name for the family of vegetable which includes broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, kale, and other green vegetables. These vegetables are a great source of protein, fiber, and vitamins, and may also help decrease the risk of cancer, atherosclerosis and heart disease. Their great advantages have given many of us reason to incorporate them into our daily veggie intake, both in salads and as bases for green shakes or fresh vegetable juices. However, they contain a compound of ingredients called thiocyanates that can interfere with the body's ability to absorb iodine. This problem may contribute to the under-activity of the thyroid, which is characterized by an enlarged thyroid, weight gain, dry skin, digestive problems and more.

How to correctly consume the product

Cruciferous vegetables are healthy and nutritious, but in order to enjoy their benefits, the recommendation is to consume between 1 and 2 servings per day. For people with a thyroid problem, consult a doctor about the recommended amount.

6. Cinnamon
Cinnamon is a flavor-rich antioxidant and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, help maintain low blood sugar levels, reduce the risk of heart disease, and protect against diabetes and degenerative diseases. However, cinnamon contains high amounts of a compound called coumarin, which can be harmful in large doses, and according to studies may lead to toxicity in the liver and other diseases.

How to correctly consume the product

It is important to know that there are two main types of cinnamon, which have different coumarin: Cassia cinnamon, also known as plain cinnamon, and Ceylon cinnamon which contains less of the compound. Since the recommended daily intake of coumarin is 0.1 milligrams per kilogram of body weight, it is recommended to swap plain cinnamon for Ceylon cinnamon and consume no more than 5 grams (one teaspoon) per day. If you rarely consume cinnamon, eating more than one teaspoon occasionally is not a problem. But its best not to overdo it.healthy foods

 7. Liver
Liver is among the healthiest and most nutritious parts of beef since it is very rich in many essential nutrients such as iron, B12, vitamin A, and copper. However, studies have shown that the large amount of copper and vitamin A can cause problems when consumed in excessive quantities. 100 grams of beef liver contains more than 6 times the recommended dietary intake of vitamin A and 7 times the amount of copper, and because vitamin A is stored in our body, it can cause symptoms of toxicity, including vision problems, bone pain and increased risk of fractures, nausea, and vomiting.

How to correctly consume the product

Although the liver is very healthy and nutritious, it is very important not to consume it on a daily basis. A nice portion once a week will provide you with adequate access to all of its nutritional benefits.

8. Egg whites
Eggs are highly nutritional. In one egg you can find all 9 protein acids, which protect eye health, fight off heart disease, and increase good cholesterol. Protein is a very important food group, but people who consume eggs on a daily basis should pay attention and avoid excessive consumption of egg whites. This is because many animal proteins cause the body to produce growth hormones that promote aging and increase the risk of cancer, especially breast cancer. Egg whites are also problematic for people who suffer from various diseases, including fatty liver, arthritis, kidney failure and more.

How to correctly consume the product

For those who don’t suffer from ailments, you can consume up to 5 eggs per week. People who need larger amounts of protein such as vegetarians, children, athletes, and other special groups may do so with the advice of a dietician or a doctor. At the same time, for those suffering from problems such as diabetes or heart disease, it is important to receive consultation regarding egg white consumption. When calculating how much eggs you’ve eaten don’t forget to consider eggs consumed in other forms such as in cakes, for example. For those who, for certain reasons, can’t eat egg whites, protein can also be obtained from plants such as beans, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.healthy foods

9. Green tea
Green tea is generally considered a healthy and safe drink for people who don’t suffer from medical problems. It helps normal sleep, promotes blood flow in the body, relieves internal inflammation, strengthens the immune system and helps digestion problems. However, the variety of these benefits cause many to treat it almost as a drug, and in doing so, consume it excessively throughout the day. Flavonoids in tea, which are compounds that can be used as antioxidants, can bind iron mainly from plant sources or iron supplements and inhibit its absorption in the body. They may also inhibit the absorption of calcium.

How to correctly consume the product

Don’t treat green tea as a medicine or a substitute for water, and be sure to drink between 2-3 cups a day and no more. In addition, to maximize the absorption of iron from a meal or iron supplements, it is recommended to avoid drinking the tea together with food. Also, since green tea stimulates metabolism, it is not advisable to drink it on an empty stomach. This restriction on the amount of tea is especially important for people with iron deficiency, anemia, or osteoporosis.

10. Quinoa

Quinoa is a very popular and healthy food that serves as a good source of protein, contains magnesium, minerals, and vitamins, and a large amount of lysine, an amino acid that is responsible for repairing tissues in the body. However, excess fiber consumption may lead to contractions and reduce the body's ability to absorb nutrients. Although most foods rich in fiber can lead to these problems, quinoa digestion is the most difficult and problematic for the body.

How to correctly consume the product

To avoid cramping that may lead to unpleasant digestive problems and constipation, it is important to drink enough water when consuming quinoa. In addition, it is also important to pay attention to portion size, because quinoa contains a significant number of calories even though many consider it a diet food. The recommended amount is half a cup and no more.

Easy Way To Remove Facial Hair Naturally

Most parlour visits are the perfect pamper sessions as you can get a relaxing facial or hair spa to emerge like a glowing goddess! But when it comes to removal of body hair and especially the facial hair growth, most of us dread that parlour visit. There have been times when I have delayed the visits till the time people started noticing the visible upper lip hair and when my eyebrows when from misshapen to downright bushy. Why? Because it hurts so bad! And having a sensitive skin doesn’t help as threading feeling like someone’s almost slicing my skin with each stroke. That’s when I decided to give some other options a chance and that’s how I chanced upon these easy homemade waxing ideas that make the process way less painful and are also good for the skin.

Sugar And Lemon Juice Wax

Heat a mix of 2 tsp sugar, 2 tsp lemon juice, and 10 tsp water. After it cools down, start applying it like wax in the direction of the growth of your hair. Keep it for 20 minutes to let it dry and wash off with cool water while rubbing in circles. To begin with, start doing this thrice a week to see results. The sugar and lemon juice wax is an excellent hair remover as the sugar sticks to the hair to remove it, the wax is not very hot and the lemon lightens the skin tone.

Oatmeal And Banana Wax

Blend 2 tbsp oatmeal with a ripe mashed banana and apply it wherever you want to remove the hair on your face. Massage this for 15 minutes or so against the direction of the growth of hair. Wash off with cold water and pat dry. You can use the Oatmeal and Banana Wax once a week for great results as this mix exfoliates your skin as well. Oatmeal is a great beauty product of nature as it contains hydrates the skin and has antioxidants that cut down redness and itching.

Egg White And Cornstarch Wax

Take out the egg white of an egg and mix it with 1 tsp cornstarch and 1 tbsp sugar. Keep whisking this mix till it forms a smooth paste. Apply it on the areas where you want the hair to go away and let it dry for 20-25 minutes. Peel this off after it dries to remove the unwanted facial hair. Do this twice or thrice a week for results better than parlour waxing.

Papaya+Turmeric homemade pack

A small cup of papaya peeled and cut, mash well, add 1/4 tsp of turmeric, mix well. Apply all over the face, massaging onto the areas from where you want the hair to vanish for a few minutes. After about 15-20 minutes, when it is completely dry, wash with lukewarm water. Do it often to get the best results. Papaya contains an enzyme call papain, which  weakens the hair follicle and prevents it from growing back. Unripe papaya is the best.

Turmeric powder, rice flour and milk
I use 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder about 2 tsp of rice flour and enough milk to make a thick paste. I apply against the direction of hair growth and keep massaging it, all over the face too. I wash it with lukewarm water after about 20 minutes. I use it most of the days, if there is any mixture left behind, I store in a little container in the fridge to use the next day. It makes the face feel soft, I can see the facial hair reducing. If you want the tan to go, you may add some lime juice to it.

Also do a test patch do see if you're allergic to any product before using all over the face.
