Make These Natural Face Masks
Wrinkles are inevitable signs of aging that
make us reluctant to go through each birthday that comes around. Many
of us think of them as incessant reminders of growing old. Although
there's no denying this, there are things we can do to lessen their
appearance as much as possible. Lately, I have discovered an even better
way of doing this other than using expensive store-bought products -
and it's by using natural remedies.
The following home remedies can help you
reduce wrinkles and fine lines on your face, neck, hands, or any other
areas of skin that have lost their elasticity and moisture. Please note
that although they are effective in terms of external results, they
should be coupled with a healthy lifestyle that'll help your skin
improve from within.
This includes sustaining yourself with good hydration, sufficient sleep,
and wrinkle-fighting foods (such as nuts, eggs, liver, oily fish, teas,
and certain fruits and vegetables). One should also avoid
wrinkle-causing factors such as smoking, harmful sunrays, skin-damaging
cosmetics, and experiencing excess stress.
Here are 9 natural packs and masks for wrinkled skin:
1. Avocado Mask
Avocado is packed with anti-aging elements, including vitamin E and
monounsaturated fat, and can work wonders in the prevention and
reduction of wrinkles. Here's how to use it to make an excellent
moisturizing mask for your skin:
What you will need:
Half an avocado
2 tablespoons fresh cream
2 teaspoons flaxseeds
1 tablespoon honey
Directions:
Transfer the contents of half an avocado to a bowl.
Grind the flaxseeds to obtain a powder consistency and add it to the
bowl.
Add the fresh cream and honey and mix well until the mixture takes on a
smooth paste consistency.
Application:
Apply the paste to the face or other areas of skin.
Leave for one hour.
Rinse with lukewarm water.
2. Homemade Ayurvedic Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer
This cream recipe is considered a superb boost for our skin - whether it
has wrinkles or not. Thanks to the varied oils it uses, it's useful for
both curing wrinkles and preventing them. Although it may take some
more of your effort and time, it gives satisfying results. Try it out:
What you will need:
2 tablespoons Aloe Vera gel (or 2 tablespoons cocoa butter or
lanolin - 30ml / 1 oz. approximately)
60 ml (4 tablespoons) rose water
Few drops lavender or rose essential oil (or 6 tablespoons of one of
the following oils, according to skin type: 90ml / 3 oz. approximately)
Almond oil - for normal skin
Sesame oil - for dry skin
Jojoba oil - for oily and acne-prone skin
Rice bran oil or ghee (clarified butter) - for mature skin (ie. thin
aging skin with dullness, uneven tone, fine lines and dry complexion)
Directions:
Heat each ingredient separately to make them slightly warm (not hot or
boiling).
Mix the ingredients together. You may use a blender.
Continue mixing while pouring in the essential oils of your choice.
Transfer to a container and store.
Application:
Use this cream to moisturize your face after washing it.
You may even use the recipe to make an anti-wrinkle night cream -
simply reduce the amount of Aloe Vera gel and add vitamin A and vitamin E
oils to it.
Apply it to your face before going to sleep.
3. Papaya-Banana Mask
Papaya contains certain enzymes that can eliminate dead skin cells to
make way for new ones. Bananas, on the other hand, can provide our skin
with various enriching nutrients that contribute to producing new skin
cells. Therefore by teaming up these two ingredients, you can create a
perfect mask for your face. Here's how to make it:
What you will need:
Papaya (as per need)
Banana (as per need)
Directions:
Cut the banana and papaya into pieces and mash them.
Combine them well in a bowl and mix.
Application:
Apply the mixture on your skin.
Leave for 20 minutes.
Wash off with lukewarm water
4. Egg White Wonder
Because of their nutrient-loaded content
and skin-tightening properties, egg whites make a great ingredient for a
natural skin remedy for sagging and wrinkling. You may use it as a lone
ingredient - just apply it to your face, leave to dry, and then, using
wet fingers, massage your face with it before washing off. Another way
of benefiting from egg white is by making the following hydrating mask:
What you will need:

No list of natural anti-aging remedies is complete without mentioning
honey. Honey offers a wealth of benefits for the skin, and it can also
be of great help when it comes to getting rid of wrinkles. Although it
is effective to use on the skin alone (leaving it for 20-30 minutes and
rinsing with warm water), you can also try making the following pack:

Leave for about 10 minutes.
Gently clean off the mask by using the same towel.
6. Vitamin E mask
Vitamin E is a widely-known essential for our skin. It repairs the
damage from reactions of fatty acids with oxygen, and hence, can prevent
wrinkles from forming. To make the best of this vitamin other than
ingesting it, let your body absorb it by using to the following recipe:

Half a teaspoon honey
Half a teaspoon lemon juice
