16 Signs There’s A Toxic, Congested Lymph In The Body And How To Help Drain It

Since we are constantly surrounded by numerous toxins from various sources, and lead fast-paced lifestyles, toxins start to accumulate and clog the lymphatic system, residing the body in stress and weakening the immunity.

According to Medical News Today:
“The lymphatic system is part of the immune system. It also maintains fluid balance and plays a role in absorbing fats and fat-soluble nutrients.

The lymphatic or lymph system involves an extensive network of vessels that passes through almost all our tissues to allow for the movement of a fluid called lymph. Lymph circulates through the body in a similar way to blood. There are about 600 lymph nodes in the body. These nodes swell in response to infection, due to a build-up of lymph fluid, bacteria, or other organisms and immune system cells.

The lymphatic system plays a key role in the immune system, fluid balance, and absorption of fats and fat-soluble nutrients. ”

The lymphatic system supports every body system, so it is very important to flush it out from time to time and prevent numerous conditions, from cellulite to cancer.

The first symptom of lymph congestion is dehydration. To check this issue, sip hot water every 10-15 minutes throughout the day, and at the end of the day, if your mouth is dry and thirsty, you are dehydrated and your lymph is congested. To rehydrate the body, repeat this therapy for 2 weeks.

Additionally, drink 1/2 your ideal body weight in ounces of water daily during these two weeks.
Here are the most common symptoms of lymphatic congestion:
  • Dry skin
  • Mild rash or acne
  • Swollen fingers
  • Brain fog
  • Weak immune system
  • Mild headaches
  • High histamine levels and irritations due to common environmental allergens
  • Occasional constipation, diarrhea and/or mucus in the stool
  • Swollen glands
  • Itchy skin
  • Tiredness
  • Soreness and/or stiffness in the morning
  • Bloating/water retention
  • Weight gain and extra belly fat
  • Breast swelling or soreness with each cycle
  • Hypersensitivity
All red-staining foods are powerful natural lymph-moving agents that detoxify the body, including beets, berries,  Echinacea, Red Root, cherries, pomegranate, and cranberries.

Beets are among the most successful ones, as they thin the bile and scrub the villi of the gut, which is where the digestive lymph originates.

Therefore, combine the warm water rehydration therapy with the consumption of red foods, and you will optimize the function of the lymphatic system and improve overall health.

Moss that can remove lead from water identified

Scientists have identified a type of moss that can efficiently absorb a large amount of lead, providing a green alternative for decontaminating polluted water and soil.

Lead-contaminated water is a serious environmental concern that has recently proved to be disastrous when left untreated.

Compounding the problem, the typical way to remove lead or other heavy metals from water requires fossil fuels and a tremendous amount of energy.

As an alternative to these typical processes, phytoremediation is a method that uses photosynthesizing organisms to clean up soil or water contamination.

Researchers began their search for a phytoremediation-based removal method by looking at
F-hygrometrica, a moss that is known to grow well in sites contaminated with metals like copper, zinc, and lead.

"We found that the moss can function as an excellent lead absorbent when in the protonema stage of development," said the first author of the study.

"This valuable ability means that moss protonema will likely make exceptional wastewater cleaners in mining and chemical industries," he said.

To characterise the metal-absorbing ability of the moss, the team first prepared solutions with varying concentrations of 15 different metals and exposed them to F hygrometrica protonema.

After 22 hours of exposure, mass-spectrometer analysis showed that the moss cells had absorbed lead up to 74 per cent of their dry weight, which is quite high and much higher than any of the other metals.

Knowing where the lead accumulates is important for understanding how it occurs and for developing the most efficient phytoremediation.

Analysis showed that within the moss protonema cells, more that 85 per cent of the lead had accumulated in the cell walls, with smaller amounts being found in organelle membranes and inside the chloroplasts where photosynthesis occurs.

Focusing on the cell walls, the team found that they absorbed lead even after being removed from living moss.

This means that there is something special about the cell walls of this species of moss that allows them to thrive in environments that are toxic to other plants.

Analysis with two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance indicated that polygalacturonic acid in the cell walls was responsible for absorbing the lead.

"We compared F hygrometrica data with those from land plants and seaweeds and found that the presence of polygalacturonic acid in the cell wall is one of the characteristics that separated this type of moss from other plants," said the researcher.

They next determined that the protonema cells absorbed lead well at pH values between 3 and 9, which is important because the acidity of metal-polluted water can vary.

"Our findings show that F hygrometrica is a useful bio- material for recovering lead from aqueous solutions, and will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations, specifically the Life on Land goal," said a researcher.

7 easy morning rituals to help your skin beat the heat this summer

It's just April, but it seems like summer has already arrived with all its might. With all the heat and dust around, many people have trouble maintaining their skin during these rough summers days. So, we bring you seven essential morning rituals for your skin to follow to beat the heat.
1. Keep yourself hydrated: You have to, have to consume a lot of water. You can also add a little bit of lemon to a bottle of water and watch it detoxify your skin like a charm.

2. Use a cleanser: In summers, go for a mild cleanser with anti-oxidants. Cleansers help in removing dead skin cells, leaving your skin nourished and fresh.

3. Exfoliate with a scrub: Now that your skin is cleansed, it's time to exfoliate with a scrub, clean your pores and rejuvenate that skin.

4. Wrap ice cubes in a clean cloth: So this one's my favourite in summers, take 2 ice cubes and wrap it in a clean cloth and gently just rub it all over your skin. It will reduce your pores, remove the dead skin and tighten it to make you feel hydrated and fresh.

5. Do not skip sunscreen: Always use sunscreen in summer. And try re-applying it every few hours. Go for a sunscreen with at least SPF 50 that protects you from UV rays. It's a must guys.

6. Use lip balm: Sun protection for your lips is as important as skin. In summers you can use a lip balm which has SPF in it . Such lip balms give you colour as well as sun protection.

7. Use blotting paper: I carry blotting paper in my bag in summers. I just dab it on my skin and it just absorbs the excessive oil that builds up and keeps the skin fresh.
