Can you regain your virginity? Know all about it

There is no denying that there are a shocking number of myths and misconceptions surrounding the female virginity. In fact, it is not only men who are misinformed about the female delicate bits but those with a vagina don’t have a lot of knowledge about it either. Hence, it comes as no surprise that we aren’t exactly enlightened when it comes to the thin, fleshy tissue that stretches across the opening of the vagina. It is known as the hymen and it is a small, circular piece of tissue that partially covers the vaginal opening.

The link between hymen and virginity

The common notion is that hymen breaks during the first vaginal penetration and a lot of people also associate “breaking of hymen” with the “loss of virginity”. However, this is not always the case. This thin tissue can wear down due to a variety of factors besides sexual intercourse including riding a bicycle, doing gymnastics, using a tampon and insertive masturbation. It is also important to understand that some women are even born without a hymen in the first place.

Does hymen determine your virginity?

It is important to understand that there aren’t always obvious physical signs of the loss of virginity when a woman has sex for the very first time. The presence or lack of your hymen has nothing to do with your virginity as it usually thins over time and may not stretch during your first sexual intercourse. Moreover, there is no medical concept of virginity and here are no medical tests available which can confirm your virginity.

Can you regain your virginity?

Since in some cultures, sexual abstinence before marriage is important, some women place a lot of importance on bleeding during the “first night” after marriage. Hence, they are often on a quest of repairing or regeneration of the hymen. There is a procedure known as hymenoplasty which involves suturing the remains of the original hymen. It is also used to create a new hymen without leaving any visible trace that the person has had the procedure. This surgery is often performed under local anaesthesia. As it grafts together, the stretched hymen will appear intact.

Recovery after hymenoplasty

Since it is not a major surgery, most patients recover within a week. You can resume work after 3 to 4 days but it strongly advised to refrain from physical activities for at least two weeks. You need to refrain from sex until 8 weeks after the surge

Remember:

While there is no dearth of home remedies present on the internet that claim to regrow or regain your virginity, it is important to understand that none of them provide the correct information. There is no way your hymen will grow back on its own if it has been stretched during any physical activity or if you are born without one.

Is it possible to fracture your penis?

Here is the answer
From the average size of the manhood, its firmness, the frequency of erection to penis-enlargement exercises, there is no denying that men have a lot of questions when it comes to their penis. One such question is can the penis really be fractured, given there are no bones in there? Sadly, this urban legend appears to be true and we tell you the possible reasons.

How do you even get a penis fracture
First things first, even though penile fracture is a very rare condition, it is still possible. The broken penis syndrome is medically known as a penile fracture. Even though there are no bones in the penis, it is still a very painful condition.

Some possible reasons
Usually, a penile fracture occurs when the man hits the partners tailbone during penetration or when there is any kind of trauma to an erect penis. So, men may suffer from a penile fracture if the experiment in the bed goes south. Sometimes aggressive masturbation may also lead to a severe injury to the penis.

When there is a tear in the dense layer of tissues (Tunica albuginea) surrounding the spongy tissue of the penis (corpora cavernosa), it leads to a pop-like sound, severe pain and an immediate loss of erection.

What are the symptoms of a broken penis
If you feel intense pain in your penis during the intercourse and hear a popping or cracking sound, you may have a penile fracture. You may also witness a loss of erection and dark bruises around the penis. A ‘broken penis’ requires immediate medical attention because a delay in treatment may lead to permanent damage to your manhood and an inability to achieve an erection.

Yes, you need to rush to the nearest hospital to get an X-Ray of the penis and seek medical treatment. If the penile fracture is confirmed, you may need surgery to close the tear. You will be required to rest for at least a month following surgery and asked to not engage in sexual activities till the time the wound heals.

The bottom line
While the consequences of the surgery are quite minimal--with most men recovering completely--a delay in the treatment may lead to erectile dysfunction symptoms.

How To Prevent Prostate Cancer

n the last year alone, 221,000 men, including  some famous actors  were diagnosed with prostate cancer, of which 29,000 ended up losing their lives. Such statistics might sound terribly grim, but there is actually a reason to be optimistic since there are quite a number of methods that you can adopt to prevent and even cure prostate cancer. Keep reading to learn all about them:

 Prevention
1. Try a Mediterranean Diet
A study showed that men who eat over 10g of garlic a day end up halving their chances of getting prostate cancer halved, compared to those men who consumed less than 2g a day. The Mediterranean diet also typically includes red wine, which contains resveratrol, an antioxidant that may stop the growth of prostate cancer.

2. Love Yourself Regularly
According to a recent study, men who masturbate five or more times a week were 34% less likely to get prostate cancer by the time they reached 70. The lead study author, says that "seminal fluid contains substances that are carcinogenic,” and that "regular ejaculation may help flush them out."
Treatiment
1. Consume More Herbs
Scientists  have discovered that a mixture of herbs including rosemary, ginger, green tea, and oregano decreased prostate cancer cell growth by 78%. Scientists believe that this works by inhibiting the activity of COX-2, which is a protein linked to the cancer's progression.

2. Use CAD (Computer-Assisted Doctor)
If you decide to use a prostatectomy to solve the problem, you may want to consider getting the new robot-assisted version done, which is far less intrusive and has a lower recovery time. Data shows that 50% fewer men became impotent and 90% fewer men became incontinent after having a CAD prostatectomy performed on them in comparison with traditional methods.
3. Restore Your Erections
The cavernous nerves, which are responsible for causing erections, often suffer after a prostate removal. This can obviously wreak havoc on your sex life, however taking a nerve graft from your ankle as a replacement has been found to be a highly effective solution. If you decide to go down this route, then the only side effect you should experience is a slight numbness in your foot.
