Interesting facts about babies you probably didn't know

Things you didn't know about babies

There's nothing as pure, beautiful and blissful as a newborn baby. For many, they're the source of joy and cheerfulness. However, when it comes to infants, there's a lot to decipher. Over a period of time, parents tend to get a hang of what their babies like, what annoys them and what lulls them to sleep. But factually, there's a lot of interesting things you probably don't know about your babies. Here are a few intriguing facts about your baby that you'd want to know.

A newborn baby cannot shed tears

Newborns are known for their cries. Whether they're sleepy or hungry, they will make a big fuss out of it, no matter what and there'll be nothing you can do about it.

But do they shed tears and cry a river? No, not really! While babies start crying from around 2-3 weeks, they do not shed tears until they're a month old. In some cases a baby may shed their first tear at four or five months.

A baby's first poop does not stink

When a baby is born, his or her poop does not have any strong odor in the first few days. Their digestive system does not possess the bacterias that tend to take over later on. Gut bacterias are what makes their poop smellier eventually.

Baby infants stop breathing sometimes

Many things can cause panic in a parent. But what if your newborn infant stops breathing. That'll surely induce a big chaos. However, irregular breathing is something that's considered normal in infants. Especially when a baby is sleeping, they're likely to halt their breathing for 5-10 seconds, enough to make parents extremely worried.

But remember to take action if your baby does not breathe for a longer time and turns blue. It may just be an emergency.

They like to face right

When it comes to babies, only 15 percent of them like to face left and the rest would naturally incline their heads to the right. It is said to be associated with a gene. However, this may only last for a few months.

Newborns only see black, white and gray

A newborn baby is likely to have an impaired vision. In the first few weeks after birth, they can only see black, white and gray and can only focus about 8 to 12 inches from their face. However, after a few weeks, they may start seeing in colour.

Infant boys can get an erection

When it comes to baby boys, an erection can be normal, especially when they're about to pee. There's nothing to be alarmed or ashamed about.

Babies can scare themselves with their cries

A newborn can be startled by a loud noise or even their own cries. They have the potential to scare themselves. This is also called the Moro reflex, an involuntary startle response. It is something babies do and gradually stop within some months.

Things You Need To Give Up To Be Happy

We’ve all heard the saying, “I’ll forgive but I won’t forget”. Only unconditional forgiveness can set you free.

It makes no sense to only partly forgive someone. When you don’t forget, you become bitter, not better. Anger and hurt is like a burning hot piece of charcoal in your hand. Only YOU get burned!

You must think of your mind and your brain as your inbuilt computer. We are human magnets and what we think, we attract.

Your brain does not differentiate between things you love and things you dislike, it believes that if you are thinking about it, you must want it. Be sure to use this skill to your advantage.

As a result, it delivers what you are thinking. It’s vital your thoughts always be in the positive otherwise what you most fear will soon be your daily reality. This is the last thing you want.
When you enter a search term in google, the result comes up. Your mind has the exact same capability and this is the reason that it is imperative that what you are searching is the good stuff!

Inner Peace is what we should all aim to achieve. We’re sure you know someone that looks like they are eaten out on the inside, it soon affects their outward appearance.

They look deflated and wizened up. This is usually at least in part to hanging onto things and not dealing with hurt and anger.

As the quote above from Tiny Buddha shows, you need to forgive yourself before you can forgive others. If you continue to relive the past, you will remain a hostage and never move on.

You have to break free. Life is a journey, mistakes are only challenges, they are not fatal. Learn from them and move on and be happy that you had the experience.

There are a number of changes that you can make that will bring unconditional forgiveness into being. The cleaner and clearer your life becomes, the easier it will become to include forgiveness.
