Eating fruits the correct way can help cure cancer !

Eating Fruit - this opened my eyes.

Dr Stephen Mak treats terminal ill cancer patients by "un-orthodox"
way and many patients recovered. Before he used solar energy to clear
the illnesses of his patients.  He believes on natural healing in the
body against illnesses. See his article below.

Thanks for the email on fruits and juices. It is one of the strategies
to heal cancer. As of late, my success rate in curing cancer is about
80%. Cancer patients shouldn't die. The cure for cancer is already
found. It is whether you believe it or not. I am sorry for the
hundreds of cancer patients who die under the conventional treatments.
Thanks and God bless.
- Dr Stephen Mak
EATING FRUIT...

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and
just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's
important to know how and when to eat.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN
ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your
system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and
other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let's say you eat two slices of
bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go
straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented
from doing so.

In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid.
The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach
and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....

So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals!
You have heard people complaining — every time I eat watermelon I
burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I
feel like running to the toilet, etc — actually all this will not
arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with
the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Greying hair, balding, nervous outburst and dark circles under the
eyesall these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are
acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to
Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have
mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of
beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT
from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't
eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only
get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you
should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because
you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go
on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink
fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your
friends tell you how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium,
vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.

APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a
low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances
the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon
cancer, heart attack & stroke.

STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total
antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from
cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

ORANGE : Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep
colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as
well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also
packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune
system. They are also a key source of lycopene — the cancer fighting
oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C &
Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners
for their high vitamin C content.. Guava is also rich in fiber, which
helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good
for your eyes.

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer! Can u believe this?? For
those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold
water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It
will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid,
it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the
solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into
fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water
after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE': (THIS IS
NOT A JOKE!) Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is
going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw
line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a
heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.
Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep
do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's
be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could
survive.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10
people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.

Vitamins and Supplements for Cancer Patients

Vitamins and Supplements for Cancer Patients

Help strengthen the immune system

Help ease side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.

What should you know about vitamins and supplements for cancer patients?

First, many supplements may interfere with your cancer treatment, so never take anything without discussing it with your cancer doctor and treatment team. Your cancer treatment center or hospital may have an integrative medicine division. That’s a good place to start if you want to know what herbs, teas, or nutritional supplements can help you stay strong and cope with treatment side effects.

Second, research or ask your treatment team about the best supplements for your specific situation. Most supplements have not been studied extensively in large clinical trials. It’s important to choose wisely, and be informed.

1. Maintaining a Strong Immune System When You Have Cancer

The complicated relationship between immune system functioning and cancer is often misunderstood, according to Dr.

Your immune system is designed to recognize and destroy abnormal cells. But in many instances, especially in early stage cancers, the surface markers on cancerous cells are identical to those on normal cells, making it impossible for your immune system to recognize them as a threat.

Although boosting your immune system isn’t an actual treatment for cancer, it’s incredibly important as you fight cancer. Cancer patients are susceptible to infection from the disease, as well as from treatments that destroy white blood cells.

“Infection is a huge issue to cancer patients,” says Dr. “It is important to do things to boost the immune system and reduce the likelihood of infection.”

Here are supplements, vitamins, and extracts you may hear about to help boost the immune system.

Supplements for Cancer: Vitamin D

Vitamin D is one of the most studied supplements for cancer prevention and treatment right now.

“Vitamin D is of interest not so much because of results of clinical trials, but because of our evolving understanding of the key role it plays in cell [development] and the fact that so many people are really deficient in vitamin D,” says Dr.
Epidemiological studies have found that people with cancer often have lower circulating levels of vitamin D in their blood. However, the research is mixed.

In a study presented at the 2008 meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, researchers found that vitamin D deficiency was more common among women diagnosed with breast cancer. The study also found that vitamin D deficiency may raise the risk of breast cancer spreading, and raise the risk of death from breast cancer.

But in a large National Cancer Institute study, researchers found no association between blood levels of vitamin D and cancer death, with the possible exception of colorectal cancer. People with high levels of vitamin D were 72% less likely than those with low levels to die of colorectal cancer.

Also, some studies have found that vitamin D may protect against prostate cancer, while other studies have found that it doesn’t help.

There continues to be a flurry of research looking at vitamin D’s role in cancer. More research is needed to truly understand the relationship.

Supplements for Cancer: Garlic

Many studies have found that people who eat a lot of garlic are less likely to develop certain common cancers.

That garlic research has led scientists to wonder whether garlic may have cancer-treating properties as well as cancer-prevention capabilities. Although studies are not yet conclusive, there is some evidence that garlic may be useful for cancer in conjunction with medical treatments.

For starters, garlic may be beneficial for cancer patients owing to its immune-boosting abilities, which vary depending on how the garlic has been processed. Additionally, certain substances found in garlic have been shown to suppress growth and fight certain cancerous cells in the lab, including forms of breast and lung cancer.

Early studies have shown that eating garlic can decrease the risk of colorectal cancer and stomach cancer. The same benefit was not found with garlic supplements. However, preliminary prostate cancer research on men in China has shown that both eating garlic and garlic supplements may decrease the risk of prostate cancer.

Supplements for Cancer: Green Tea

Green tea contains substances called polyphenols that are believed to have powerful anti-cancer abilities.

Cancerous tumors rely on fast-growing networks of blood vessels to sustain their rapid growth rate. Green tea compounds may possess the ability to help slow or prevent this rapid growth. “Green tea seems to inhibit the development of new blood vessels in tumors, and provides one more approach that can be used to strangle tumors,”  tells Dr.
Because it would take the equivalent of drinking 10 to 12 cups of green tea each day to obtain the cancer-fighting levels of green tea compounds, Dr. recommends that his patients take green tea in extract form. Be aware, there are some concerns about green tea extracts and liver toxicity. Also, a recommendation of 10 to 12 cups of green tea per day would be for cancer treatment, not cancer prevention.

Drinking green tea may increase the survival rates of some cancer patients. One study of women with ovarian cancer found that women who drank green tea were more likely to survive three years after ovarian cancer diagnosis than women who did not drink green tea. The survival rates increased with higher consumption levels of green tea.

Drinking green tea may also help prevent certain cancers. Preliminary research suggests a possible protective effect against bladder, esophageal, pancreatic, ovarian, and possibly cervical cancer, even with as little as 3-5 cups a day. Evidence for breast, stomach, and lung cancer is mixed: studies have conflicting findings.

Supplements for Cancer: Mushroom Products

Extracts from mushrooms have been used in traditional Asian medicine for thousands of years. More recent scientific studies are beginning to determine reasons for their potential health-promoting actions.

For example, polysaccharides (phytochemicals) from the Ganoderma lucidum mushroom have been shown to inhibit the growth and invasiveness of some cancer cells in the laboratory, including certain forms of breast cancer.

Other fungal varieties that may exhibit anti-cancer activity include reishi, shiitake, maitake and coriolus or turkey tail, mushrooms.

Lentinan, a substance found in shiitake mushrooms, has been shown in the lab to inhibit the growth of human colon cancer cells in mice. This may result from lentinan’s ability to inhibit some enzymes that promote the activity of cancer-causing substances called carcinogens. Beta-glucan, a compound found in maitake mushrooms, is also thought to have tumor-fighting properties, though data on these abilities is still quite limited.

Keep in mind that the studies so far have looked at how these mushroom extracts affect cancer cells in the lab, with only a few documenting the effects in the human body. More research is needed.

Supplements for Cancer: Antioxidants

Antioxidants are substances found in abundance in fruits and vegetables – and in lesser amounts in nuts, grains, and meat. These phytochemicals fight certain oxygen molecules in your body known as free radicals, which can damage DNA and contribute to the development and proliferation of cancerous cells.

Common antioxidants include vitamins A, C, and E, selenium, certain compounds in green tea and melatonin, a hormone made by the pineal gland in the brain.

The use of antioxidants for cancer prevention and treatment is a controversial and confusing topic. Although experts once believed that megadoses of certain antioxidants, including vitamins A and E, might be beneficial, clinical studies have raised questions about the safety of this practice. Studies have shown that high doses of certain antioxidants can increase cancer occurrence in some populations. For instance, smokers who take high doses of beta carotene are at increased risk for lung cancer.

Some experts worry that the use of antioxidants during radiation therapy and chemotherapy might serve to protect the very cancer cells that are being targeted. A 2008 study in Cancer Research showed that vitamin C supplements blunted the effectiveness of chemotherapy by 30% to 70%.

Although more research needs to be done, there is data to suggest that antioxidant supplements may improve quality of life for some cancer patients. For example, the combined use of antioxidants in green tea, melatonin, and multivitamins containing high doses of vitamins C and E was shown to reduce pain and fatigue in patients being treated for pancreatic cancer.

In the meantime, there’s no doubt that a diet high in antioxidant-rich foods, such as fruits and vegetables, has numerous health benefits.

Be sure to talk with your cancer treatment team before taking antioxidant supplements when you have cancer.

2. Coping with Treatment Side Effects When You Have Cancer

People with cancer often turn to vitamins and supplements to reduce the side effects of cancer treatment: Nausea from chemotherapy, nerve pain, or debilitating fatigue.

Keep in mind, there are hundreds of chemotherapy drugs. The vitamins and supplements that may help you will depend on your specific treatment.

To optimize your health and reduce the risk of dangerous interactions, don’t take supplements for side effects without talking with your cancer treatment team. Your cancer doctors can help you develop a comprehensive treatment.

Supplements for Cancer: Ginger

Nausea and vomiting are two of the most common side effects of chemotherapy for cancer. These side effects can be serious. Nausea and vomiting can lead to weight loss, nutritional deficiencies, and fatigue, which can make it harder for your body to fight cancer.
There are a number of anti-nausea medications available. But some patients with cancer also find that using ginger, either alone or in conjunction with anti-nausea medicine, significantly reduces nausea and vomiting.

The evidence is conflicting, but a recent study found that cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy who consumed a high protein drink with ginger twice a day during treatment reported significantly less nausea and were less likely to require traditional anti-nausea medications.

Supplements for Cancer: Iron

Cancer itself can cause fatigue. But this debilitating lack of energy can also be caused by cancer treatments. In fact, fatigue is a side effect experienced by nine out of 10 people undergoing cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, bone marrow transplants, or radiation therapy.

These treatments can damage cells in your bone marrow that are responsible for making red blood cells and lead to iron-deficiency anemia. With this type of anemia your red blood cells do not contain enough hemoglobin, which carries oxygen throughout your body. Iron is an essential component of hemoglobin, and iron supplements may improve the fatigue caused by iron-deficiency anemia.

“Someone with a high need for extra iron might take iron supplements,” saysDr., but most people can get the iron they need from food. One “trick” is to take vitamin C with meals in order to enhance the absorption of the iron in food.

Always check with your doctor before taking iron supplements, even if you think you’re anemic. Too much iron in your body can damage your liver and heart. Everyone who takes iron, including the iron in multivitamins, should do so under a doctor’s supervision.

Supplements for Cancer: L-glutamine

Peripheral neuropathy, or nerve damage, is a common side effect of certain drugs, including the widely prescribed chemotherapy drug paclitaxel.

“[Paclitaxel] can be used to treat a lot of different cancer types – lung cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer,”  tells Dr. “The amino acid l-glutamine has been shown in numerous studies to be helpful at preventing or treating peripheral neuropathy – pain, numbness, and tingling – associated with [paclitaxel].”

L-glutamine, taken orally, has also been shown in one study to reduce the peripheral neuropathy associated with oxaliplatin, a chemotherapy drug used to treat colorectal cancer.

Key Points to Remember When Considering Supplements for Cancer

Cut through the hype and obtain your information about cancer supplements from reliable sources. Beware of advertisements. There’s a lot of marketing hype out there.
No matter how harmless you think a vitamin or supplement might be, check with your doctor about potential interactions with your other treatments.
If your doctor does give you the go ahead to use certain vitamins and supplements for cancer, make sure you purchase brands of supplements that have been analyzed by ConsumerLab.com, or that bear a USP or NF seal on the label. The USP and NF seals indicate the supplements have undergone quality control testing.

Remember, the use of vitamins and supplements for cancer is largely based on short-term studies, done mostly in the lab. More studies are needed – and fortunately more research is on its way.

“Only recently are government agencies providing grants to do research on dietary supplements and complementary and alternative therapies,” says Dr.

“In the near future, we will see more reports from these government-funded studies, which hopefully will guide us to use these dietary supplements more appropriately,”  says Dr.

Natural Pain Relief: Other Treatments

Natural Pain Relief: Pain Supplements

Natural pain relief offers an alternative. But given that there are so many pain supplements lining the shelves of your drugstore, it’s hard to know where to start. Here’s a rundown of the chronic pain supplements that our experts thought were most important.

Anti-inflammatory plants and herbs. For all sorts of painful conditions -- including osteoarthritis and back pain -- chronic inflammation is the real problem. NSAID medicines -- such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen, and Celebrex -- work so well because they block the enzymes that trigger both swelling and pain.

But if you don’t like the idea of being on an NSAID forever, there’s good news. “There are natural alternatives to NSAIDs that have a similar mechanism,” says Leopold. They include turmeric, green tea, ginger, rosemary, cat’s claw, devil’s claw, and willow bark.

Which pain supplement is best?  experts single out turmeric. “It works really well,” says Dr. “I’ve had patients with arthritis who start using turmeric and are able to go off their NSAIDs entirely.” Look for turmeric in standardized capsules.

Because they work in the same way as NSAIDs, these pain supplements do pose some of the same risks, such as bleeding. However, the side effects tend to be less severe. Dr. still suggests that people on blood-thinning drugs check with a doctor before using any of these pain supplements.

Fish oil. “Fish oil is the clean-up hitter of supplements,” says Dr. There’s strong evidence that it helps with many conditions, ranging from cardiovascular problems to depression to asthma.

Fish oil can also ease the inflammation and pain caused by many chronic conditions. The dose used in the most convincing research is 2 to 4 grams of DHA + EPA daily. Although beneficial omega-3 fatty acids are available from other sources, experts say that fish oil has the best evidence.

“I recommend omega-3s to everybody, including those with chronic pain,” says Dr. He says that they help with headaches, back pain, some nerve pain, and autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis.

“The pain relief you get from fish oil alone is not tremendous,” notes Dr. “It’s probably less than you’d get from ibuprofen and other NSAIDs.” But given that some NSAIDs may actually increase the risk of cardiovascular problems, the fact this pain supplement protects against them is an added bonus, he says.Dr. adds that the painkilling effects of fish oil can also be boosted by combining it with other pain supplements like turmeric or ginger -- provided your doctor says it’s safe.

Vitamin D. This vitamin, which comes from foods and is also produced in the body as a result of sun exposure, has become a hot topic among pain researchers. A number of studies have linked low levels of vitamin D with increased levels of chronic pain.

One 2009 study looked at the vitamin D levels of people with chronic pain who were using opioid painkillers. Those who had a deficiency of vitamin D needed almost twice as high a dose of medication to control their pain.

“Personally, I’ve seen miracles,” says Dr. “I’ve found that it can have a huge benefit in the symptoms of people with fibromyalgia.” Dr.reports that it’s helpful with other kinds of chronic pain too, like bone and joint pain.

Capsaicin. Derived from chili peppers, capsaicin may soothe pain when applied to the skin. “Topical capsaicin seems to be helpful for all sorts of pain,” says Dr. Studies have found it can help relieve pain from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriasis, shingles, and diabetic neuropathy. It may also offer natural pain relief for back pain, fibromyalgia pain, and headaches.

Glucosamine sulfate. “When it comes to joint pain, I think glucosamine supplements have some of the best data out there,” says Dr. There’s especially strong evidence that this pain supplement can help relieve osteoarthritis pain in the knee. Glucosamine is often combined with chondroitin, which could have an additional benefit.

Magnesium. The evidence is mixed. But some studies have found that magnesium supplements can help with pain caused by conditions like migraines and fibromyalgia. Some experts speculate that magnesium deficiency could be a widespread problem.

“It’s really easy to be magnesium deficient,” says Dr., who recommends magnesium supplements for her chronic pain patients. “The foods that are highest in magnesium are things like sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. Most of us just don’t eat those very often.” Regularly drinking alcohol can also deplete your magnesium levels.

Acetyl-L-carnitine. Several studies have found that the nutrient acetyl-L-carnitine can ease nerve pain from diabetes. This pain supplement also seems to regenerate damaged nerves and, over time, restore sensitivity.
Alpha-lipoic acid. Like acetyl-L-carnitine, alpha-lipoic acid seems to help with diabetic neuropathy.  “Preliminary but promising evidence shows that it not only reduces pain, but also seems to slow down the progression of the nerve injury,”  tells Dr. “It may help protect the nerves from further damage.”

Alpha-lipoic acid may also enhance insulin sensitivity -- another benefit for people with diabetes. There’s evidence that this pain supplement can help with nerve damage caused by cancer treatments, too.
Bromelain. The enzyme bromelain, which comes from the pineapple plant, appears to reduce inflammation and pain. Some studies have found it helpful in osteoarthritis and knee pain. There’s some uncertainty about how well it gets absorbed in digestion, given that it could be neutralized by stomach acid. More research needs to be done.

Riboflavin (vitamin B2.) “There was promising research showing that riboflavin might help reduce the frequency of migraines,” says Dr., but a recent study did not support the claim. Dr. still thinks it’s safe to try for up to eight weeks, given its high safety rating. There’s some evidence that CoQ10 and standardized extracts of butterbur (petasites) might also help prevent migraines.

MSM (methylsufonylmethane). This is a naturally occurring compound in some plants and animals, which has been shown in some preliminary research to reduce osteoarthritis pain. More studies are needed to clarify its safety and efficacy.

  Chronic Pain Supplements: Combining Approaches

As effective as natural pain relief can be, Leopold urges people to keep an open mind about traditional approaches, too. “NSAIDs like ibuprofen and naproxen work really well,” says Dr. “and they’re incredibly cheap. The price tag on some supplements can be substantial.”

Natural pain relief and traditional medicine don’t have to stand in opposition. Leopold has some patients who take a daily pain supplement like turmeric for pain. Then during exacerbations, they add on an NSAID.

That said, no one should be mixing pain supplements and medications without seeing a doctor first. It could be risky. So make sure your health care provider knows about all the medicines and supplements you use.

Natural Pain Relief: Other Treatments

If you’re looking at alternatives to pain medication and surgery, there are lots of options besides pain supplements.

“When it comes to pain relief, I actually find supplements less helpful than some other complementary treatments,” says Dr.  Here’s a rundown of other natural pain relief options.

Physical activity. When you’re in pain, the prospect of exercising might just seem too difficult -- and painful. But studies have found that exercise helps people with chronic pain. They may feel less pain, have more energy, and have better moods than those who don’t exercise.

Acupuncture. There’s good evidence that acupuncture is a powerful form of natural pain relief. It soothes osteoarthritis pain, fibromyalgia pain, back pain, pain from sports injuries, and more. “Really for just about any kind of pain, I’d recommend acupuncture,”  says Dr.

Hypnosis. Various types of hypnosis have been found to help with conditions like repetitive strain injuries, back pain, and cancer pain.

Guided imagery. With help from an expert, you can learn techniques to direct your thoughts by focusing on specific images. Some studies have found that this type of natural pain relief helps with osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, cancer pain, and headaches.

Music therapy. It might seem an odd approach, but music therapy -- which may involve listening to or performing music -- has good evidence behind it. Studies have found a benefit in conditions ranging from cancer pain to osteoarthritis.

Relaxation therapy. There are different types of relaxation therapy. Some focus on mastering breathing techniques that calm the body. Studies suggest that relaxation therapy could offer natural pain relief for osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, headache, and other conditions.

Biofeedback. With this technique, people can train themselves to control normally involuntary bodily functions, like heart rate or blood pressure. Some studies have found that it might help with pain from conditions like fibromyalgia and headache.

Massage. Studies indicate that massage may offer natural pain relief to people with conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, neck and pain, fibromyalgia, and headaches.

Talk therapy. This is in no way to imply that the pain is merely “in your head.” But seeing a therapist really could help. Experts say that anxiety and depression often go along with chronic pain. They may also make it feel more intense. “If someone is depressed and life seems out of control, addressing that mental suffering can often significantly reduce their physical pain as well,” says Dr.

Natural Pain Relief: Working With Your Doctor

While chronic pain supplements can really help, experts also suggest you temper your expectations. Be skeptical of any ads your see for all-natural “cures” to chronic pain. Unfortunately, sure-fire cures don’t exist.

Whatever you do, don’t go it alone. Anyone who is living with chronic pain needs to be working with a health care professional. Try to find a pain specialist. If one is available in your area, seek out a pain clinic.

Don’t settle for half-measures. The costs of poorly controlled chronic pain on your life -- and your family’s -- are just too high.  Get help from a specialist. Together, you can get your pain under control.

Nerve Pain- how to control

How Nerve Pain Feels

People with nerve pain feel it different ways. For some, it's a stabbing pain in the middle of the night. For others, it's a chronic tingling or burning they feel all day.
Uncontrolled nerve pain can be hard to bear. But with treatment, it can often be controlled.

Understanding Nerve Pain

Pain is supposed to be a warning. When your hand gets too close to a stove, the nerves send a pain signal to the brain -- and you pull back before you burn yourself. But if you have nerve pain, that system isn't working. Damaged nerves may send false signals -- and you feel real pain without another cause. Or damaged nerves may stop you from feeling pain when you have an injury.

Nerve Pain Triggers

Some find that certain body positions or activities -- like standing in line or walking -- may become painful. Nerve damage may also make your body overly sensitive. Even a gentle breeze on your face may become excruciating.

Loss of Feeling

Nerve damage may cause loss of sensation, making it harder to do things with your hands. Knitting, typing, and tying your shoes may become difficult. Many people with nerve damage say that their sense of touch feels dulled, as if they are always wearing gloves.

Nerve Pain and Sleep

Nerve pain is often worst at night. The touch of sheets or the pressure of lying down may be terribly uncomfortable. If you can't sleep because of your nerve pain, make sure to mention it to your doctor. Changing some habits or taking medicine could help.

Losing Balance
In addition to dulling your sense of touch, nerve damage may decrease muscle strength. These two effects may make it harder to keep your balance -- and that could lead to falls.  Assistive devices -- like braces, canes, or walkers -- may help.

Unseen Injuries
Nerve damage doesn't just cause pain. It may also cause numbness that may prevent you from feeling pain when it matters. People with nerve damage sometimes hurt themselves without realizing it. Your doctor may recommend that you check yourself for injuries regularly -- especially your feet.

Nerve Pain Progression
Left untreated, nerve damage may worsen over time. It usually starts in the nerves farthest from the brain and spinal cord -- like those in the feet and hands. Then it may move up into the legs and arms.
However, if you get control of your nerve pain promptly, you may be able to stop the damage -- and even reverse it.

Assessing Your Pain
In many cases, nerve pain may be controlled. Start by getting an assessment at the doctor's office. Be ready to answer questions. How long have you had pain? What does it feel like? How does it affect you? The answers will help your doctor figure out what's causing your pain and how to treat it.

Conditions that Cause Nerve Pain
Many conditions -- such as diabetes, shingles, and cancer -- may cause injury and nerve pain. Some people develop nerve pain for no known reason.
It is important to try and find out the underlying cause of your nerve pain, such as uncontrolled diabetes, and seek treatment for it. It may help relieve your pain. But be sure you seek treatment for your pain too.

OTC Treatments for Nerve Pain
Over-the-counter painkillers may be the first treatment your doctor recommends. These may include nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) -- such as ibuprofen -- or analgesics, such as acetaminophen. Other options include painkilling creams, ointments, oils, gels, or sprays that are used on the skin.

Nerve Pain: Prescription Treatments
There are many prescription medicines that may help with nerve pain. Some are powerful painkillers. Other drug types might help too. Studies have found that some medicines originally used for depression and epilepsy may also help relieve nerve pain.

Natural Treatments for Nerve Pain
Complementary or alternative treatments may help. For instance, studies have found that acupuncture may ease nerve pain. In some cases, nerve pain is caused or aggravated by a deficiency of vitamin B12. Taking supplements -- under your doctor's care -- could help.

Taking Control of Your Health

In addition to working with your doctor to find treatment that works, you can take other steps to fight chronic pain. Getting regular exercise, keeping a healthy weight, and improving your diet may help.

The main causes of liver damage are:

1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.

2. Not urinating in the morning.

3 . Too much eating.

4. Skipping breakfast.

5. Consuming too much medication.

6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.

7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil.

As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is
 very fit.

8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.
Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule.'

HEALTH DAMAGING HABITS

1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2 . Overeating

It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking

It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption

Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our  body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6 . Sleep Deprivation

Sleep allows our brain to rest.. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells..

7. Head covered while sleeping

Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness

Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain..

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts

Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely

Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain

stay-well strategy #1: put your feet first

A case of cold feet can do more than spoil a good opportunity, it can even make you sick. “When feet get chilly, it actually tightens up the blood vessels in the sinuses,” says Dr. Here's how: Chilly feet send a message to your brain to take action to conserve your body's heat. The brain responds by firing out messages that reduce blood flow to areas where heat is lost quickly, and that includes the mucus membranes of the sinuses. When blood flow is reduced to the sinuses, so is the flow of infection-fighting white blood cells, leaving your body more vulnerable when viruses invade. Fortunately, a recent study reveals that keeping your feet warm, with a pair of plush socks, for instance, can cut risk of colds as much as 67 percent.

2: unleash the power of peaches

According to USDA researchers, frozen peaches, which are processed at the peak of ripeness, are packed with 236 milligrams of vitamin C per cup (more than double the amount found in oranges). And researchers at the University of Arizona say keeping vitamin C levels high cuts the length of time people struggle with nasty viral infections by almost 25 percent. The connection? Vitamin C strengthens the delicate tissues lining the nose and throat, preventing viruses from penetrating, plus it boosts the ability of immune cells to engulf and destroy germs.

3 : dig out your diary

Venting your fears and frustrations in a journal for 15 minutes daily for four days straight may actually reduce the number of times you get sick, say scientists at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. The theory goes that, because there’s such a powerful connection between the mind and body, harboring stressful, negative feelings can actually dampen your immune system’s ability to produce the white blood cells that fight infection. But releasing those feelings by journaling can help reduce stress. So find a time and place where you won’t be disturbed, and start writing nonstop -- and don't worrying about spelling or grammar.

4: move your muscles

Walking, weight lifting, dancing -- pick a workout you love and do it for 30 minutes daily. You could cut your risk of catching a cold by 50 percent, say researchers at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. “Regular exercise stimulates the brain to produce human growth hormone,” explains a Dr.. “And this muscle-building chemical messenger simultaneously doubles your body’s production of germ-fighting antibodies to make your white blood cells more aggressive when they encounter invaders. Even chunks of exercise if you’re super-busy -- 15 minutes here, 15 minutes there -- can work like a charm!”

5: gargle with salt water

Swishing around a little salt water can keep colds and flu at bay. In a recent study, Japanese scientists found mixing a half a teaspoon of salt into 8 ounces of warm water, then gargling for at least 10 seconds twice daily cut a person’s risk of viral infections as much as 34 percent. Why? Water helps to flush out phlegm, which harbors bacteria, and naturally kills viruses before they can attach to cells and multiply, according to Mayo Clinic researchers.

6: pencil in some pal time

Spending some quality time with your chums can actually slash your chances of developing a cold. Studies at Pennsylvania’s Wilkes University suggest that people who have daily contact with friends are up to 75 percent less likely to develop viral infections. “Having great friends to chat with and rely on helps people feel positive and upbeat about life, and bounce back quickly from setbacks,” explains Dr. “And that cuts production of immunity-weakening stress hormones by as much as 25 percent.” What’s more, you don’t have to plan pricey or elaborate girl getaways to reap these rewards. Just spending a few minutes each day reaching out to people who make you feel upbeat, whether it’s by phone or e-mail, she says, can cut cortisol production for up to 24 hours.

7: steer clear of fried foods

Anytime foods are deep fried, trans fats are produced and, in sufficient quantities, these unhealthy compounds can weaken your immune system and dull the body's response when viruses invade, says  Dr. Deep fried foods aren’t the only culprits; other  sources of trans fats include box cake mixes, canned frostings and store-bought pastries. To safeguard yourself, Ozner says, check food labels to ensure your pick doesn’t contain transfats. Common tip-off terms include partially hydrogenated oils, hydrogenated oils or vegetable shortening.

8: cut back on pain meds

Experience some mild aches and pains? You may want to pass on pain relievers. When you take aspirin, ibuprofen or any other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID), you’re taking a drug designed to suppress white blood cells -- the very compounds responsible for attacking and destroying invading germs, dr.. Dr's advice: During cold season, strive to steer clear of these products unless you truly need them.

9: try this mind trick

Strange but true: Simply spending 15 minutes daily visualizing your immune cells destroying sickness-causing bugs can actually rev up your production of these infection-fighters within 48 hours, say experts at the University of Illinois. “That’s because when you visualize your immune system becoming stronger, your brain actually produces the factors needed to make that happen,” . Sit or lie down in a comfortable, quiet spot, then close your eyes and breathe slowly and deeply as you visualize your immune cells -- they look like tiny amoebas -- flowing through your bloodstream, gobbling up every virus they encounter.

10: take a tea break

Studies suggest that people produce three times more interferons, powerful proteins that attack and destroy viral invaders on contact, if they sip 20 ounces of black tea daily. Credit goes to unique tea antioxidants called alkylamine antigens. These compounds have been shown to rev up interferon production in as little as two weeks. To get the biggest health bang, bob your tea bag up and down for 15 seconds while you brew. Jiggled tea bags release up to twice as many antioxidants as bags that are left to steep untouched,.

11: suds. suds and more suds

When doctors at the U.S. Navy’s Great Lakes Recruit Training Command Center in Illinois ordered recruits to wash their hands with soap and water five times daily, the number of respiratory infections among recruits plunged 45 percent. “Viruses often get into your mouth and eyes by hitchhiking on your hands,” explains Dr. So keeping your hands squeaky-clean is one of the most important things you can do to protect against the flu.”

12: get crafty

Spending just 20 minutes daily doing a soothing, stress-shredding activity like knitting, scrapbooking or painting can strengthen your immunity 76 percent, say experts at Stony Brook’s State University of New York. “That’s because your body’s ability to produce virus-fighting white blood cells and antibodies rises as soon as your stress hormone production drops,” explains Dr.

13: veg out

Enjoy half a cup of broccoli three to four times weekly and your white blood cells may recover the vigor they normally lose due to aging, say experts at UCLA. Sulforaphane, a chemical found in broccoli, switches on specific genes inside immune cells, explains lead researcher . “Once those genes are activated, immune cells function more efficiently, plus they’re able to shield themselves against attack by damaging compounds called free radicals.” Not a fan of broccoli? Other solid sources of sulforaphane include brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower.

14: down more d

Taking 1,000 to 2,000 International Units (IU) of vitamin D daily will rev up your immune system’s attack on invading viruses, reducing your risk of influenza 29 percent or more and cutting your risk of complications in half if you do fall ill, say Canadian researchers. That’s because vitamin D optimizes the growth of every cell in your body, including the immune cells you need to fight off invading viruses, explains Dr.

15: go for garlic

It’s packed with over 70 different sulfur compounds, the raw materials needed to build fast, powerful virus-killing white blood cells, says  Dr. “These sulfur compounds also help your body produce more antibodies, proteins that latch onto invaders, weighing them down so your immune cells can kill them more easily.” Just one clove of garlic daily can do the trick, boosting your ability to fight off flu viruses in as little as two weeks, says Dr.

16: watch your favorite sitcom

Taking a bit of time, just 30 to 60 minutes, to watch the tube today may protect you from colds and flu later. According to researchers at Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Mellon University, taking a daily, relaxing TV break can cut your risk of illness as much as 80 percent. “The stress hormone adrenalin actually slows down white blood cells, making it much harder for them to attack and kill invading viruses,” explains Dr. “But a fun-filled break that leaves you feeling relaxed squashes adrenalin output within minutes, allowing your immune system to aggressively attack invaders for several hours straight.”

17: turn in earlier

"Deep sleep is your body’s prime time for building infection-fighting antibodies,” says sleep researcher.  “So being chronically tired doubles your risk of catching nasty infections and staying sick a long time when you do.” Fortunately, simply adding 30 to 60 minutes to your nightly slumber, or taking daily naps, can cut your risk of upper respiratory infections in half, plus cut your annual sick days 30 percent or more, say l researchers.

18: break for breakfast

Turns out, breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, especially if you’re surrounded by sickness. According to researchers at The Netherland’s Maastricht University Medical Centre, breakfast eaters are half as likely to fall prey to viral infections. Experts say regular morning meals triple your body’s production of gamma interferon, a natural antiviral compound. And you don’t have to whip up anything fancy to get this great protection. Experts say any a.m. meal will suffice, as long as you leave the table feeling full (study subjects enjoyed a moderate 600 to 1200 calorie breakfast).

19: mooch a massage

Regular rubdowns have been shown to fire up levels of disease-fighting white blood cells as much as 25 percent. Researchers at Florida’s University of Miami School of Medicine also say they can reduce production of immunity-weakening stress hormones. If a professional weekly treatment isn’t in your budget, simply take a mere 10 minutes each day to massage your scalp, face and neck using slow, circular motions.

20: keep your hands off your face

This simple action can cut your risk of developing a bad cold or the flu by a whopping 47 percent, say researchers at Atlanta’s Emory University. The secret: Most viruses get onto your body when you touch contaminated objects, but they can’t get into your body (and cause illness) unless they can reach your nose, eyes and mouth. So keeping your fingers away from your face is like blocking off the only highway between two cities, according to experts.
