SOME COMMON HEALTH MISTAKES WE ALL MAKE
1) Taking the same pill for hangover as headaches-
Painkillers should not be taken when you still have alcohol in your system, as it is harmful for the kidneys.
Solution- drink a lot of water, for it to pass off naturally.
2) Carrying a shiny yellow bag made of artificial leather-
Lead contents in higher in items made of "pleather", especially if they're made of bright colours- yellow, orange, red etc.
If this lead ends up in the body, it can potentially cause heart diseases, cancer, developmental problems ( in children) in the future.
Solution- avoid colourful fake leather purses, wallets and bags. Opt for nylon, hemp, canvas or leahter instead.
3) Brushing your teeth right after breakfast-
by doing this you'll be pushing the acid from your morning juice or coffee into your enamel, causing erosion.
Solution- wait for at least 30 minutes, after drinking an acidic beverage before brushing.
4) Kissing a smoker-
Smokers are more susceptible to contracting infections and diseases than non-smokers and they can pass on the infections to you while kissing them.
Solution- avoid kissing them, especially if your immune system is weak, or encourage them to give up smoking totally.
5) Storing potatoes in the fridge-
after being roasted, fried or bakes, potatoes form carcinogens, which multiply when kept in cold temperatures.
Solution- try boiling, steaming or microwaving the potatoes instead, and store then in a cool, dark place, rather than in the fridge.
6) Airing the laundry inside-
doing this will create an attractive humid environment for dust mites and mold spores. These may cause allergies and lung infections.
Solution- if you don't have a dryer, hang them in a closed room with a open windows.
