GOODNESS OF ALMONDS
Almonds are one of the healthiest nuts. They're loaded with vitamins & minerals, hence considered as super foods. They can be eaten plain or incorporated in both desserts & savoury dishes. Almonds are believed to help in weight loss, as the nutrients are densely packed in them, which makes one feel full & reducing the cravings to eat more. They are rich in minerals which aid energy production. They also contain brain boosting chemicals. The fibre in almonds has a detoxifying effect & cleanses the digestive system. Almonds do not contain cholesterol. Regular consumption increases the good cholesterol, HDL, in the body, while reducing the bad one, LDL. They help to regulate blood pressure. They've a stabilising effect on sugar & insulin, thus providing protection against diabetes.
