  1. Rose powder mixed with fuller earth and rose water is one of the most common household face packs in use.
  2. Pure rose water is one of the best skin cleansing agents.
  3. The petals of the rose can be made into a paste and applied to control sweating.
  4. The dried rose petals can be crushed and made into a paste by adding rose water and further applied on wounds to promote healing.
  5. Dried rose petals can be mixed with milk and consumed to reduce acidity and treat stomach ulcers.
  6. The tincture made from rose petals is useful in diarrhea.
  7. Rosebuds are used in preparing a decoction which is highly useful in relieving constipation.

How To Make Homemade Rose Tea:

It is easy to make this tea. Add honey to flavor it up and use spices, such as cardamom, clove, and cinnamon to make the tea more palatable.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh rose petals – 1 cup
  • Water – 1.5 cups
  • Honey – to taste
  • Spices [optional] – to taste

How To Brew Rose Tea:

  1. Clean the rose petals and discard the white base or else you will find yourself drinking a bitter cup.
  2. Rinse rose petals again with clean water, pat dry using a towel, and keep aside.
  3. Place the saucepan filled with water on moderate to high heat.
  4. Allow the water to come to boiling point.
  5. Add the petals, let it boil for 3 seconds, lower and simmer for 5 minutes or until petals become dark.
  6. Strain the mixture into cups.
  7. Mix in powdered spices and honey, and give a quick mix.
