Man Contracts Severe Lung Infection After Sniffing His Own Socks

A man in China has contracted a severe lung infection after sniffing his own socks every night, thus proving that stinky socks can indeed be deadly.
According to a report, the man was in a habit of sniffing his worn socks every evening after work. Unfortunately, his sweaty feet may have caused a fungal infestation inside his socks. The fungus was transferred into his lungs upon sniffing. 

The report also mentions that the man's immune system had suffered due to staying awake late at night, taking care of a baby.

Odorous socks are a common phenomenon and those wearing them are often viewed with a stink-eye. Several technologies have including odour absorbing textiles have been developed to cure this problem.

In a prison in Brighton, England, authorities have installed a special, stink free locker to store the smelly socks of inmates checking in to the cells. In another instance, a man in Delhi was booked in 2017 for creating 'public nuisance' with his stinking feet.
