Simple Ways To Recharge Yourself
Today when you see around people are always in a hurry, either to catch a train/ bus in the morning. Children are too busy with studies, homework , they're stressed due to pressure from parents to get better marks. With more inventions, instead of having more free time, we're actually finding ourselves lacking time to do even some essential chores ! Relaxation is essential for every human being as it helps recharge your mind and reduce stress which often hampers your productivity and creativity. Relaxation is essential for both the body and the mind. To relax, one need not find anything expensive or need to travel around. There are quite a few simple things which can help you to relax.
1) Try doing something routine. As one is used to the same rhythm, one finds peace and feels relaxed. Like for e.g., you're used to having your morning coffee while reading the newspaper headlines, do it, while you enjoy your coffee. It gives you some " me" time, which we all need.
2) Hug your partner, your kids. While we hug someone, we make them feel loved and wanted. When you give a warm and tight hug to someone, we make them and us feel wanted, we trust each other. This process releases a hormone called oxytocin which helps to strengthen a bond between two people. According to research, hugging helps bring down blood pressure, anxiety and stress- only if it is someone who is significant to you.
3) At times, we all need to sit alone by ourselves, wanting to shut our eyes while listening to our favourite music. We want to be away from all noise and the humdrum around. When our mind is calm, when we're not bothered about what to do next but enjoying the soothing music, it relaxes our body and mind.
4) Pets shower so much love on us, make us feel wanted. Pets wait for you to return home from work/ school, the love they shower after your hard day, makes you forget everything. Playing with pets, petting them is such a wonderful thing, as it is true love between the two.
5) Exercise is not just good for the body but also relaxes the mind. It helps us to lose weight. Exercise causes elevation in blood pressure and heart rate, but it also increases the adrenergic (cells which govern neurotransmitter responses) responses in your body. It energizes our body and helps relax our body in turn. Cardio-vascular exercises like jogging or running help clear your mind. If you can jog or walk along a mountain trail, it will surely energise you as you are breathing in fresh air and there is so much peace all around.
