To ease a heavy cough with phlegm

add 2 or 3 grains of black pepper to 1 1/2 glass of boiling hot milk,with 1/8 tsp turmeric powder, 2-3 pearls of garlic- either mashed or chopped fine, simmer for 15 minutes, so garlic gets cooked,wait for it to cool a bit and then drink with little sugar before going to bed, as hot as possible. I do it, find a lot of relief.
