QUICK TIPS TO LOSE WEIGHT

Here are some simple tips to lose weight in a healthy way. Keep a check on your metabolism. The Basal Metabolic Rate is the energy used by a person while inactive. Imagine burning away those unsightly inches while you rest ! Agents in chillies & pepper help increase BMR. So, next time, choose a spicy dish over a sweet one. Working out also increases BMR.

Make fibre your friend. Increasing fibre intake will keep you feeling full for longer. This will make it easier to resist temptation. Foods rich in fibre includes, while grains, beans, green leafy vegetables, banana stem among others.

Use the stairs than the lift/elevator, as it will help to sweat away those extra calories.

Gym sensibly, as excessive gymming leads to muscle & water loss. Muscles play an active role in increasing BMR, so be sure your gym programmes suits your needs. Weight loss must be followed by a maintenance plan because that is where the real challenge is.

Don't expect miracles overnight. Try faithfully along with healthy eating & you'll see a marked change in yourself.

Now, after hubby's bypass heart surgery, daily walking at times twice a day for around 20-25 minutes, at my own pace, has helped me to shed a bit, but still a long way to go. Now, I prefer to load my plate with more green vegetables, than carbs, as it makes me feel full, without adding more calories.
