There are some herbs and spices that act as natural painkillers and can treat inflammation effectively.

 Cloves- you can have clove powder or clove essential oil when suffering from any kind of pain. Clove is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for treating nausea, cold, headache, arthritic inflammation and toothache.

Capsaicin- it is the main compound found in chili peppers and acts as a natural pain reliever. This compound can help to reduce nerve, muscle and joint pain.

Turmeric- it contains a compound call curcumin, which is antioxidant in nature and can help to reduce pain and inflammation. This yellow spice also protects the body from free radical molecules that can damage the tissues.

Aloe vera- its gel is popular for treating skin abrasions, such as sunburn and can also help with joint pain. The gel can be applied topically on the area of concern for relief.

 Willow bark- it contains a chemical called salicin, which is similar to the main ingredient found in painkillers. It can help in providing relief from pain and inflammation.

Lavender oil- it is commonly used for pain relief, sound sleep and to ease anxiety. You can mix some lavender essential oil in some carrier oil and apply it topically. Do not ingest essential oils, as they can be toxic.
