Here is how you can fight dullness through your diet

We often blame our tiredness on having been working long hours or lack of sleep. However, the constant feeling of fatigue can also be attributed to poor dietary habits. There can also be other reasons for chronic fatigue; the feeling of being tired all the time, but the most obvious one of them is that your diet is not nutritious enough to keep you going through the day.

Here is a list of six dietary practices that you should follow to help you fight the feeling of fatigue and tiredness.


No refined carbohydrates

Foods like white bread and pasta constitute refined carbohydrates that cause blood sugar levels to shoot up. The spike in blood sugar levels can lead to low insulin levels in the body which can cause you to feel tired and be lethargic.


Avoid caffeine
Caffeinated drinks like coffee and tea surely provide the body with an instant surge of energy, however, long consumption can have the opposite effect. Therefore, it is advisable to keep a check o your caffeine intake to keep feeling energetic through the day.


Avoid processed sugar
Processed and sugary foods have high-fat content with no real nutritional value. Contrary to popular belief, the sugar in these foods do not really give you any extra energy. In fact, they leave you craving for more and yet feeling depleted.


Hydration
Drinking enough water throughout the day is important for the general upkeep of the body. 60% of our body is made up of water. Water is essential to flush out toxins and carry nutrients to the cells.


Try chia seeds
Chia seeds is a good source of energy for the body. It is filled with fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The perfect super-food for a healthy body.


Don’t shy away from supplements
Even though supplements cannot provide the same amount of nutrition as natural sources, there is no harm in taking supplements if a particular nutrient requirement is not being fulfilled by your daily diet.
