Often used for making dal curry and sprouts, moong dal is also a goldmine for beauty purposes. From face, body and hair, moong dal solves a lot of problems and can be the latest addition to your beauty regime. Here are a few uses of moong dal which will surely make it your latest beauty buddy:

Face pack

Ideal for people with dry and flaky skin, moong dal mask is a magic mask. Just soak a handful of moong dal in raw milk overnight and grind it the next morning. Apply the paste on clean face and leave it for the next 15-20 minutes. Once it dries off, wash it off with water and pat dry your face. It will give your soft and supple skin in just a few uses. 


For acne
For people who are tired of breakouts and acne popping up everywhere on their face, moong dal is here for you. Just soak some moong dal overnight in water and grind it the next morning to form a paste. Now mix half a teaspoon of ghee in it and apply it all over your face. Massage your face gently and leave it for 10 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat dry it. For effective results, use this pack thrice a week.


For sun tan removal

Summers are here and so is the problem of sun tan. With scorching sun outside, sun tan is a very common problem people face in summers. For removing tanning, just soak a handful of moong dal overnight and grind to form a paste. Now add some chilled curd or aloe vera gel and mix it well. Apply the mixture to affected area such as face or arms. Leave it for 5-10 minutes and wash it off with cold water. This will not only soothe your tanning but will also make skin soft and smooth.


For hair growth

For people who are suffering from hair loss or dull and dry hair, moong dal hair pack is ideal for you. Just boil some moong dal and grind it. Add an egg yolk, few drops of lemon and curd to it and form a paste. Now apply it on your hair and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash it off with a mild shampoo and dry your hair. You can use it twice a week for effective results.
