BEST HOME REMEDIES FOR CRACKED HEELS
Many people do suffer from cracked heels, especially if they work in water for long hours. Or if the temperature goes down. The cracks can range from minor to severe. Ill-fitting shoes, dry climate and high heels are just some of the common causes.
1) Vaseline- clean and dry your heels. Once all the dirt is out, soak your feet in warm water for 15-20 minutes. Rinse, pat dry, apply Vaseline.
2) Sesame oil-Clean your feet well, if need be use pumice stone if there are an cracks, then pat dry, apply sesame oil, rub it in well, do this daily.
3) Oatmeal and jojoba oil- mix 1 tbsp pdr. oatmeal with little jojoba oil to form a paste. Apply it over your heels , wash after about 30 minutes, pat dry, then apply oil or Vaseline.
4) Olive oil- apply extra virgin olive oil with the help of a cotton ball and gently massage your heels in circular motion for 10-15 minutes.
5) Rice flour- 2-3 tbsp of rice flour, add 2-3 tsp of honey and 1-2 tsp of apple cider vinegar to make a thick paste, apply this scrub over the heels and rub well. Wash after 15-20 minutes, pat dry.
6) Rub vegetable oil over cracked heels well, then wear socks, leave it over night. This will help to soften your heels over time.
7) Hot water and pumice stone- soak your feet in hot water for 10-15 minutes, moisten pumice stone rub over cracked heels in small circular motions. Wash your feet well, pat dry, apply sesame oil / Vaseline.
8) Ripe Banana- mash a ripe banana and apply over cracked heels for 15-20 minutes, wash with luke warm water. Repeat it once a week.
9) Apple cider vinegar and Listerine- soak your feet in a solution of 1 cup each of ACV and Listerine and 2 cups warm water for 15 -20 minutes, then scrub with pumice stone, wash, pat dry, rub some oil.
10) Lemon juice and sugar- massage into your feet 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 cup oil and a small amount of lemon juice. Do this daily, then wash with luke warm water and pat dry.
11) Coconut oil- rub into cracked heels, leave overnight covered with a pair of socks.
12) Vicks Vaporub- apply to cracked heels, leave over night, covered with a pair of socks.
