HOME REMEDIES FOR HEART-BURN
Symptoms of heartburn-
1)A burning feeling in the chest, just behind the breast bone that happens just after eating and lasts a few minutes to several hours.
2)Chest pain after bending over, lying down or after eating
3) Burning in the throat- hot, sour or acidic fluid at the back of the throat.
4) Feeling of food sticking in the middle of the chest or throat.
Causes of heartburn
1) The main cause is a lower esophageal sphincter or open LES.
2) meals high in oil of fat often leads to heartburn.
3) Stress and lack of sleep can increase acid production that cause heartburn.
4) Smoking relaxes the LES and stimulates stomach acid, is a major contributor of heartburn.
HOME REMEDIES
1)Baking soda- mix 1 tsp. of baking soda in a glass of water. Drink it for instant relief.
2) Apple cider vinegar- It may sound weird to drink an acid for acid problem !
1 tsp of apple cider vinegar mix with 1/2 glass of water. Sip this glass of water while eating your dinner.
3) Calm tummy recipe-
honey 1 cup
fennel seeds powdered ( saunf) 2 tbsp
coriander powdered 2 tbsp
cumin ( jeera) powdered 1 tsp
You mix all the ingredients and store in a sterilized bottle. It should keep for a few few weeks. Let it seep for some time. You may use it to make like tea.
4) Mint- chew some fresh mint leaves, as it is effective in treating indigestion and heartburn because it aids digestion and has soothing properties. You can chew to avoid heartburn.
5) Fresh ginger- It provides relief from heartburn in 2 ways- it absorbs acid in the stomach and helps calm the nerves that contribute to heartburn.
