findings of the study carried out on 53 obese people by the researchers
of the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire National Health
Services Trust in the United Kingdom suggests that there is no other
alternative to mindful eating for losing weight effectively. During the
study, half of the people were taught mindful eating- practising slow
eating, chewing more slowly and tasting every bite, while the other half
was not given any such instructions. It was noticed that the group that
practised mindful eating, on an average lost three times more kilos
than the other group.
