Correct posture to sleep
Many people prefer to lie down flat with face up, but few do prefer to lie on stomach. Both are not good positions for you back. The ideal position is to lie on your side, with legs slightly bent, you may put a pillow between your knees for your hips to be in alignment. In this position, your head and body should be in same level, if head is higher, it will cause neck pain.
If one prefers to sleep flat, then best is to keep a pillow under the knees to reduce the strain in your spine.
