Benefits of drinking Hing Water daily!
Hing or Asafoetida is an ancient spice, which is widely used across
Indian sub-continents as a food flavoring agent, but in some countries
like India and Nepal, it used for medicinal purposes too.
Back in ancient time, ‘hing’ was mixed in water and consumed by women as a contraceptive measure, while others used it for ailing indigestion. In several regions, ‘hing’ paste is gently smeared around the chest and under the nose area so that its aroma enters the body and cures a cold and flu; it is also sometimes used for curing asthma.
In traditional medicine, ‘hing’ holds great importance for curing digestive problems and flatulence. It is usually boiled in water and reduced to paste, which is then smeared around the abdomen area to heal stomach and intestinal region.
According to Ayurveda, drinking a glass of lukewarm water with a pinch of 'hing' added to it on daily basis is beneficial for these following 7 benefits.
1.Hing water has anti-inflammatory properties, which fixes digestion related problems and cures acidity instantly.
2. It keeps blood sugar level in control and prevents diabetes.
3. When asafoetida is boiled in water, it produces diuretic properties, which cleanses bladder and kidney and protects against any urinary infection.
4. Drinking it on daily basis strengthens the bones.
5. There are antibacterial properties in it, which keeps asthma at bay.
6.Hing contains beta carotene, which helps in eye care and keeps our eye healthy and hydrated.
7. Asafetida has antioxidants, which protect our body against anemia (a lack of iron content blood), makes our teeth stronger and has anti-carcinogenic elements, which prevents cancer.
