A NEW CHIP COULD BE USED TO FIGHT ALZHEIMER'S ONE DAY !

A new chip reprograms our skin cells to help you heal faster. It affects the entire tissue not just the surface. Developed by researchers, this chip is placed on an injured body part and a small electrical current is applied, and are then programmed  to turn into vascular cells or whatever cells are needed for treatment, helping serious injuries heal within weeks. This chip showed promising results when tested on mice and pigs, which had injured legs lacking blood flow. The device could have other uses too. The technology is not just limited to skin. It can be used on other tissues within the body or  outside the body. Skin is only one example. The tech was even able to reprogram skin cells into nerve cells, helping mice recover from strokes. Researchers believe it could  one day be used to grow brain cells from human skin. Cells could then be harvested and injected in the brain, fighting diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Clinical trials are expected to start next year.
