8 WAYS TO RID YOURSELF OF CELLULITE!
Cellulite, also known as cottage cheese thighs and orange peel skin, plagues women of all different shapes and sizes. Women all over struggle attempting to reduce cellulite without success.
Cellulite is a term used to describe fat deposits right under the skin, that usually can be found in the lower pelvic region and cause a bumpy appearance. People blame the appearance of cellulite on hormones, poor diet, poor lifestyle choices, age, and genetics. All of these factors do contribute to cellulite, because they share one common denominator: accumulation of toxicity in the body. For decades people have been eating refined sugar, processed food, chemicals, preservatives and pesticides. In addition, we’re exposed to environmental chemicals and pollutants in the home and outside every day. This all adds up to a very large amount of toxins, which the body is not able to eliminate fully. The body then stores these toxins in the fat cells in order to minimize toxic exposure to vital organs. The pockets and dimples of your cellulite, are also storing toxins.
As you accumulate more toxicity in your body as time goes on, the symptoms of your cellulite will only worsen. If you’re embarrassed by the appearance of your cellulite now, how do you think you’ll feel in 10 years? This is why it’s imperative to deal with cellulite, and eliminate it. The key to removing cellulite is to removing the accumulation of toxins from your body, and preventing a further build up of toxins. How? Here are…
8 TIPS FOR REMOVING CELLULITE
1. Eat a clean, unprocessed diet: Fresh fruits and vegetables are alkaline forming foods. The alkalinity of these foods magnetizes to the toxic matter in cells, drawing it out so it can be removed. In order to remove toxins from your body, they first need to be drawn out from where they have accumulated. Fresh vegetable juices are great at achieving this.
2. Switch salt: Refined salt is very acidic, dehydrating, and actually leaches minerals from your body. Refined salts add to the accumulation of toxicity in your body. Replace them with sea salt which is alkaline, and will help draw out the toxins. Crystal salt will also do the trick. You won’t even notice the difference in taste!
3. Hydrate: It’s critical to keep yourself very hydrated, in order to keep the toxins flushing through you. The first thing you should do each day, is drink a tall glass of water. If you don’t like drinking plain water, you can add some slices of lemon to liven the flavor. Herbal tea is also a good choice if you’re trying to keep it interesting. Try to avoid coffee and regular tea as much as possible.
4. Detoxify: Once you start drawing the toxic waste from your cells and tissues, the next step is removing it from your body all together. It’s important to work the toxins out, so they don’t just re-settle in to your cells. This is easier said than done. The best way to do this is with colon cleansing, either done by a professional or with at home enemas. It may not be an elegant step, but it’s a necessary one.
5. Skin Brushing/ Massage: The lymph lies right under the surface of the skin. By stimulating the lymphatic system with dry bristly skin brushing and massage, toxins start circulating into elimination channels in order to be released. In order to break down the fatty deposits which cause the dimpled appearance of cellulite, use a skin brush in small circular movements over your thighs, butt, and any other region affected by cellulite. Do this for a few minutes at a time multiple times per week.
6. Sweating: When you sweat, you expel toxins through your skin. This is a great way to eliminate the toxins that are circulating in your system. If you want to decrease the appearance of cellulite, this is one avenue of elimination that you should not ignore. Engage in some exercise until you work up a sweat!
7. Don’t Use Skin Thinning Creams: Using pharmaceutical creams such as steroids on areas with cellulite, will make the cellulite more obvious. Think about it logically. If your skin is thinner, not only will your skin show age and general imperfections more, but the appearance of bumps under the skin will be more blatant. If you need the creams for a medical reason, you should obviously not stop using them. However, try limiting them and also nourishing your skin with natural oils and creams like coconut oil.
8. Use a Trusted and Effective Program: While the aforementioned treatments will definitely help with reducing the appearance of cellulite, they are not a solution to the root of the problem. Unlike most cellulite treatments, choose a regime which focuses on a multi-directional method for curing persistent cellulite, where the problem and the symptoms are attacked.
