gargle with a warm salt water solution.

adults and older children can suck on a popsicle, piece of ice, lozenge or hard candy.

eat applesauce, yoghurt, other soft foods, cool beverages and warm liquids such as soup or tea.

get plenty of rest, drink plenty of water.

avoid foods or drinks that are acidic or spicy.
