• If you use the abdomen as your primary site, rotate your insulin injections throughout the abdomen to avoid the development of lumps. Also, avoid the area around your belly button.

• If you rotate through various body sites, you should keep the site consistent based on the time of injection. For example, always use the thigh for morning injections, the upper arm for noontime injections and the abdomen for evening injections. This helps keep most things consistent for your readings.
