Foods that help maintain a healthy gut can flatline flatulence.-- yougurt

Foods that help maintain a healthy gut can flatline flatulence.

Yogurt—and other fermented dairy products, such as kefir—is one of the best dietary sources of probiotics, healthy bacteria that help break down undigested carbohydrates in the gut before they cause gas. Our bodies naturally contain trillions of bacteria, but many experts now recommend supplying the body with specific health-boosting strains.

Fix it: If you don't eat yogurt often, look for other food products enriched with probiotics, such as Attune wellness bars. The ingredient list should name a research-backed strain, such as B. animalis,Lactobacillus, or Bifidobacterium. Or take a probiotic supplement daily. In one study, healthy adults who took a Bacillus coagulans–based product for 4 weeks experienced less abdominal pain, gas, and bloating than those on a placebo.
