Oral cancer

Oral cancer is one of the easiest to detect, but still it isn't so !! Most often till the cancer has spread it isn't detected. Main reason is, even the Drs. over look the symptoms.Very often when you go to the dentist, they may notice a white spot/blister, but tend to overlook it.So, pl. make sure that your dentist has a good look at the inside of your mouth during each visit.Also if you've some problem in your oral cavity/ENT problem which doesn't subside with anti-biotics, pl. don't neglect it. As it needs then further investigations, as mostly these spots are painless, so one doesn't bother about the same.But, kindly make sure that spot/tumor is properly treated, as in the early stage if it is taken care of,then one may not even need surgery.

Also one need not be a tobacco user to get such oral problem. As I do know people who have got oral cancer, who have never touched tobacco !!

Incase you've sharp teeth & tend to bite the sides of your mouth, pl. get it then softened, as repeated biting your inside of mouth can also lead to oral cancer.

I just wanted to make all aware of the symptoms, not cause any anxiety,as prevention is always better than cure, isn't it ? So kindly be aware of the symptoms, ask questions to your Drs., see that you get good response to it to your satisfaction too.
