Silica reinforces the connective tissue that holds those vessels together. By drinking this water, it was shown that patients improved their arterial flexibility over a 12 week period. This helps better blood flow, more efficient oxygen deliver throughout the body,

Mint is not just flavour, it has natural compound call rosmarinic acid that acts as vasodilator, which helps the blood vessels relax and widen. Better blood flow will be less strain on your heart. Drink it once in the morning and one in the afternoon to get he nitric oxide keeps the blood itself in an optimal flowing state.

Beetroot are the richest natural source of dietary nitrates, which your body directly converts into nitric oxide through a pathway that starts in your mouth and continues in your stomach. This is critical because it provides oxygen delivery better through you blood. It was proved to be better within 2 weeks of drinking this juice daily showed 16% improvement in exercise endurance. 100 ml of beet juice mix with 300 ml water, stir well and drink it in the morning 2 hours before any physical activity because that is when nitric oxide conversion occurs. You can roast or boil 1 medium beet and blend it with water to make fresh juice at home, the key is consistency as it keeps nitric acid elevated throughout the day rather than creating short temporary spikes. Beet juice can turn your urine and stools into a red colour, it is completely harmless and is just a natural pigment called betanin passing through your system. Don’t be alarmed as it shows the active compounds are being properly processed by your body.

Cayenne pepper add 1/8 tsp to a glass of warm water. It is good for those who are dealing with poor circulation in their legs, hands and feet. Cayenne pepper contains a compound called capsaicin, which is  one of the most potent natural vasodilators ever studied. What happens when capsaicin enters your bloodstream, it triggers the release of substance P and calcitonin gene-related peptide, 2 neuropeptides that cause your blood vessels to rapidly expand. Those who drank this water for 4 weeks experiences a 26 % improvement in peripheral blood flow, meaning blood was reaching their extremities much more effectively. It was also found to increase micro-circulation, the flow of blood through your tiniest capillaries by up to 31 % in older adults. With better circulation symptoms like numbness in your toes, slow wound healing and skin that bruises easily. To prepare this tonic, in a big mug of warm water add just 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder and stir it thoroughly till well dissolved. This starting dose is very mild and will produce just a gently warmth in your throat and stomach. Over the course of 2 weeks, you can gradually increase to ¼ tsp . best is to drink this 30 minutes before breakfast. The warm water helps the capsaicin to reach your stomach lining and into your bloodstream, if you find it too sharp, add a small squeeze of lemon juice to mellow it out without reducing its effectiveness. Those on blood thinning medications should consult your doctor, because capsaicin can enhance the effects of those drugs.

However for those above 60, this is a safe and remarkably effective way to push blood into areas of your body that have been slowly losing circulation for years.

Hibiscus flower cold brew is the no.1 in this circulation study. The dried petals of the hibiscus sabdariffa plant, contain an extraordinarily high concentration of anthocyanins and polyphenols that work directly on your blood vessels that nothing else can match. To get the best, soak the petals of the flower overnight, you extract the maximum amount of these compounds without destroying them with heat. Those who drank this water daily for 6 weeks experienced a 44 % improvement in flow-mediated dilation which is the gold standard measurement for how well your blood vessels expands and contract.  Another study found that hibiscus extract reduced arterial stiffness by 17 % in older adults over just 4 weeks.

Arterial stiffness is one of the primary drivers of poor circulation after 60 because stiff arteries cannot flex and push blood forward the way healthy elastic vessels can. The anthocyanins in hibiscus work by increasing the bioavailability of nitric oxide while simultaneously reducing oxidant distress in the endothelial cells that line your arteries. Think of it as both boosting the signal for your vessels to relax and cleaning up the damage that has been preventing them from responding properly.

To prepare this 2 tbsp of dried hibiscus petals and place them a large glass jar with about 1 liter of cold filtered water. Do not use hot water because temperatures above 70 C destroy a significant portion of the anthocyanins. Place the jar in the fridge and let it steep for a minimum of 8 hours, though 12 hours produces the strongest concentration. In the morning, strain out the petals and drink the deep red liquid throughout the day. It has a naturally tart flavour similar to cranberry. And you can add a small amount of raw honey if you need to soften the taste. Aim for 3-4 glasses spread across the day so your blood vessels receive a continuous supply of these protective compounds.
