The best private hospital in Coimbatore- Manu Hospital
I'm almost 70. I'm a veteran of 13 surgeries and 2 angiography. So, you can imagine the number of hospitals I'ld have visited for my various ailments. Some of the best in Bombay, now Mumbai, Jaslok for my 2nd delivery and Bombay hospital for my laparoscopic and MTP due to ectopic surgery. But, the services in the former was better than the latter, but in no way comparable to the small, compact Manu hospital in Coimbatore, where one gets personal attention. All the staff, doctors, nurses all serve you with a smile and always comforting you that you're fine !
In Delhi too, though I had the best orthopedic surgeon way back in 1988 for my spine surgery in St. Stephens hospital, doctors were efficient but as the hospital was big in a congested place it used to be crowded. Now due to COVID-19 and its numerous variants, I really try to avoid even my follow-up for my COPD, orthopedic problems, as I dread catching infections from the crowd that is there in GKNM/ SRH. Though GKNM, famous for its cardiac department, due to its expansion, the crowd is too much. Recently, as hubby had a cardiac related problem in the 1st week of last month, he had to be admitted to GKNM, as his cardiologist is attached to the hospital. There, waiting outside casualty department for more than 4 hours, I was bitten by numerous mosquitoes, which I don't expect in a hospital. Now, due to my constantly having fever since more than 3 weeks, wondering if it can be due to malaria / dengue. Waiting for the reports of these 2.
Since hubby's discharge from the hospital, as my fever wasn't coming down even after antibiotics for 4 days, daughter, who is a medical Dr., advised me to get admitted to the hospital. I chose Manu hospital, as the Dr. is very soft spoken, in whom both hubby and self have a lot of confidence after he diagnosed hubby's spinal problem correctly by looking at the MRI film and gave him confidence to have the surgery. The nurses are friendly and everyone greets you with a warm smile, which itself makes you feel better. I messaged Dr. Paari early morning about my problem and saying that I'm coming to be admitted, he at once made all the arrangements with his staff, to get the room ready and what all to do once I check in. The moment we landed in the hospital, I was taken straight in a wheelchair to the room, no need of filling up a form or other formalities. Then after checking my parameters, taking blood tests, urine tests, necessary treatment was started. Of course I was checked for corona, I was negative luckily. Then, the duty Dr. came in to take my history since how long I was suffering like that, the medications I take and so on.
One important thing to remember is, being a thyroid cancer survivor, with COPD, my immunity is very low. Hence, I preferred this private hospital, where you get the best treatment, with best doctors and nurses. Dr. Paari, knowing that we come from a far off senior citizens home, when hubby got admitted nearly 2 years ago, he took the complete responsibility of making all arrangements of our food, from morning coffee to dinner and didn't take money for it. Dr. Paari isn't money minded like many other doctors you find these days in most cities. He believes in giving good service at nominal cost. I wish that soon, he is able to have a small cafeteria in the hospital to provide food for patients who come from far off places.
The other very good thing Dr. Paari does is, after knee replacement or other orthopedic surgery, he doesn't want the patient to come to the hospital for dressing, he sends his staff to their homes to do it anywhere in the city. No other hospital does this service free. When one gets such good treatment, naturally the distance doesn't matter to us, as we want good service from the doctor in whom we've full confidence. May long live this Dr. Paari couple, as his wife is an excellent gynecologist, who is an expert in Invitro treatment, who makes many couples happy having babies.
Our blessings and best wishes to Dr. Paaris and their wonderful staff to carry on their good work for many more years to come and pass it on to their son who is now a qualified doctor, who will be doing his PG soon before joining his parents I hope.
