You should know these 6 warning signs of high blood sugar

Worldwide, about 422 million people suffer from diabetes. However, not many of them know the damage that diabetes can do if it is not managed. High blood sugar can affect your vessels, nerves and organs. The only way to combat diabetes is to control the bold sugar levels in the blood. It is important to be able to recognize early warning signs of high blood sugar and protect yourself from future risks. Here is a list of six signs that you should look out for.

Frequent Urination
People with high blood sugar levels have the need to urinate a lot more frequently. A normal person has to urinate 4-7 times a day, whereas, a person with high blood sugar feels the need to urinate all the time. this happens because the kidneys are not able to process the extra sugar in your blood and the only way to get rid of it is through urination.

Fatigue 

Feeling tired all the time is a major sign of high blood sugar levels. The warning sign is when you begin to feel tired after every time you eat. If this is much more prevalent when you have high carb meals, you should get yourself checked

Increased thirst
It is because you also urinate more when you have high blood sugar, you also feel dehydrated more often. it slowly becomes an endless cycle where you feel thirsty more often, so you drink more water and urinate more. It is normally not a common sign for hyperglycemia, however, if it occurs with the other symptoms, maybe it is time to consult a doctor.

Blurred vision
Blurry vision is another telling sign of high blood sugar. It is also one of the early signs that you need to be aware of. This happens when extra sugar and water gets trapped in the middle of the eye, which causes your vision to blur.


Headache
Now, headaches are not the only sign of diabetes and they can mean a lot of different things which may not be as serious as diabetes. However, if you experience them often with the other symptoms, it might be a sign of high blood sugar levels. This is when it is advisable to visit a doctor.


Recurrent infections
High blood sugar levels also weaken the immune system. This makes it harder for the body to fight infections. Therefore, you might fall sick more often if you have high blood sugar levels.


These are all just early signs of hyperglycemia and can turn into complications if left untreated. If you experience any of these symptoms, it is advisable for you to visit a doctor immediately.
