Hypertension or high blood pressure is common today even with the youngsters. Gone are the days, when age was one of the factors for high blood pressure. Today, it can happen to anyone, and the reasons are excessive stress levels, sedentary lifestyle and indulging in wrong foods. And the risks also increase if there's a family history of high BP. This is a very simple breathing technique and can be done anywhere, irrespective of the time. It helps you relax and calm down, which ultimately brings down the blood pressure level. Do this before you go to sleep as it will be more beneficial then.

Kapalbhati Pranayama

This breathing technique has multiple health benefits. Do this early in the morning on an empty stomach to obtain its advantages. It detoxifies your blood, freeing you from ailments, including hypertension. However, it is advisable to consult a doctor before you start practising this.
Anulom Vilom Pranayama:
This technique helps to clean up your nervous system and also improves blood circulation. It is also known to lower the risk of diabetes and hypertension.
Seetkari Pranayama:

This is one of the best breathing techniques. It helps to keep your high blood pressure in control and helps in beating the stress levels, preventing a spike in blood pressure.

Thirty Second Deep Breathing Exercise:

Perform this breathing technique in silence. A research study conducted in Japan suggests that this breathing technique has the potential to reduce and maintain the levels of blood pressure.

Belly breathing:

This is one of the basic breathing techniques that is often advised for controlling high levels of blood pressure. Perform this breathing technique 10 times it reduces stress and hypertension. 

Follow these breathing techniques, and you will notice the difference in your blood pressure levels soon. However, it's recommended to consult your physician before you perform these techniques to avoid unwanted complications.
