Magnesium can dramatically cut your risk of suffering a fracture, scientists have discovered.
They say the mineral could hold the key to preventing one of the most avoidable causes of disability in millions of middle-aged and elderly people.
The major finding was made by academics at the Universities of Bristol and Eastern Finland.

especially among the ageing population - and is a huge burden on the NHS.
