Quality/ quantity of life?

Some thoughts, please read it carefully

Dear All,
please read carefully what I'm writing now. One thing is for sure, the day we're born, we're also destined to die. Both birth & death aren't in our hands. So let us accept the fact. Though we all want our near & dear ones to live ( at times selfishly for our sake), I'm sure that we also want our near & dear ones to live a good quality life, isn't it so?

Remember what matters most is a good quality of life & not at all quantity of life. Who wants to live for 100 years & be sickly? NONE of us for sure. So , let us pray with sincere hearts to all who are dear to us to have a good quality of life, as it is very hard to see someone whom we love suffer.

You may call me cruel, but what I'm now telling you is the truth that happened in my own life. We all love our mothers, so did I. But being the youngest child, I also had to take the decision, whether I wanted her to daily suffer with dialysis & prolong her life or let her die quickly without the pain of undergoing daily dialysis. I decided that it is better that she dies, the Dr. told me, that without dialysis, that she'd live for 6 months, I said that was fine. So, for those 6 months, I left my husband to fend for himself & looked after my mother, as she had looked after me when I was a child, bathed, cooked, cleaned her, did all that would make her happy. But each day, I kept praying to God, please take my mother early to HIM, as I don't want her to suffer. God did hear my prayers & in the end, she died quickly & peacefully at home, as per my mother's wish, was conscious till the end, saw all her children around her. I think, this is what we all must pray for us & our near & dear ones, to have a quick & peaceful death, after all death is inevitable. So, let us accept it lovingly.

I pray to God each day to give me strength to be of help to others & take me away before I'm a burden to anyone.

ps- in case, I've offended anyone, I'm extremely sorry, but I want each one to be a bit practical & realistic & try to understand what I've mentioned & give it a thought. You're free to express your views.
